#rigidtools #review Rigid 5" and 6" Orbital Sander Review
Buyer beware of the 5" random orbital sander from Ridgid. They have a fantastic 6" sander, that one is fine and works great and I've had it for over 2 years now but the 5" sander started going bad almost instantly so I would highly recommend staying Away from the 5" sander but their 6" sander is a great addition to any shop #woodworking #carpentry #rigidtools

@metabo 10" Sliding Miter Saw Review
Просмотров 473 месяца назад
This saw is a great saw with a cutting depth of just about 13½" and has all the power you'd need in a sliding miter. As the for repeat cuts? T #woodworking #diy #woodshop #carpentry his one is pretty good and can accomplish anything from miters to crown moulding. Has a dust shoot that actually works and a light an laser. Great tool and it's definitely worth the money. Also it is designed to sav...
@metabo What a fantastic tool. I do really like this brand and have multiple Metabo tools.

If you are looking for an airless nailer then this one will not let you down. Whether in the field on a jobsite or in a shop this thing has surpassed my expectations by far. Not only is this one better than the rest it cost way less, even less then the craftsman one that doesn't come with batteries so give them a chance and you won't be disappointed, at least I wasn't. Great job Metabo. Very qu...
Delta Table Saw Review

This table saw is worth its weight in gold. Great saw especially for the price. I want to say it was close to $800 when it came out. Great fence system, blade height and angle control and comes with an attached dust port. If you're looking for a table saw then look no further cause this thing is fantastic. I've had it for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier with the results. #woodworking #diy...

"I'm gonna drop you like a bag of dirt." - Elaine Bennes
Bro that's crazy you said that, I was watching a Seinfeld video yesterday of a bunch of clips of episodes and that was one of them 😂 she was talking to George kastanzas dad 😂
Well you left 4 feet of wood above ground level.😮
Hope you never get hurt buddy! That shit is dangerous, you're a woodworker not a logger or arborist!
😂, I appreciate the concern but that man cutting is a professional tree climber and his brother who is pulling the ropes is a professional tree climber as well and they opened up my backyard dropping 6 or 7 massive pines in about 2 hours. These two just love what they do and they are the best tree guys I know. I'm going to make a short video of all the others coming down which should be pretty cool. I'll stick to woodworking for sure 😂.
What’s the model number?
At 0:40 you can see the fence going out of parallel when you move it back and forth. How much slop does the fence have when you’re actually using it?
@@jayelwin there is no slop, it must be something with the camera. I have never had an issue with this saw whatsoever and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonable saw at a decent price. Hope this helps. Trust me I will slam a tool company that sells something that does not work, rigid is a perfect example.
@ ok good to know. Maybe it’s a “rolling shutter” effect. So the fence is always parallel when you lock it?
@jayelwin my bad I didn't see you posted another comment but yea the fence locks in nice and tight and squares itself up. It's the unifence system and if I'm not mistaken Delta is the one who made and popularized this fence system. I think what you are talking about is from my fence not being on the back track, it's just sitting on top of it so that definitely could be what you are seeing which obviously if I put it on correctly it will always true itself up. I'm not sure exactly what model number it is but if I come across the handbook I'll post it for you.
@ thanks. My research tells me this is the table saw for me. Waiting for a sale. Also gonna put the Bosch router table in it.
@jayelwin yea you can't beat that setup, id like to know how that Bosch router setup works out for you after a year or so, Bosch makes some great tools for sure and probably one of the best tool companies out there, in my personal opinion
Tilt the tape on an angle till u get to an even number and divide by 2 easiest way I have seen and no guessing using simple geometry
Never heard of that but I'm going to try it out tonight, thanks.
I’ve always done this. Thought I was doing it the hard way. Hoped your way was easier.
Yea well it's definitely an easier way to find center on an odd board
Divide by 2 simplest trick
This is just a simple trick to split a board if you dont want to do the math
Ear muffs
Headphones 😂
Especially when it's still open at the top
Yea well if you can see that well you should also be able to see it's obviously pieces for figuring it out but you're free to show me how you'd do it, I'm always willing to learn
Do they let you do this, do they care about noise, etc..
Yes they let me and the noise is not a problem and there are quite a few bands that practice in there too. I've built some chairs for the lady that's the onsite manager there and a house for the stray cats.
Is that two smaller storage units combined together or was it always 20 X 20?
Yes it is, there is a load bearing framed wall running up the middle but it's only 10' so I have the other 10' 20' wide with nothing in the way. It's a 20 x 20.
Brilliant.
Thank you and it definitely saves space and saves a little time rather than pulling it out and setting it up on a bench
Wow that’s beautiful 😍
Thank you
If your clamp doesn't work, you're not using enough clamps!
😂
or ya can use a stud finder.
Obviously another option, thought that would be the obvious but my mistake. If you don't have a stud finder you can use a magnet 😂
Cool
Thank you.
I am doing the same thing right now. I am in the stage of building work tables for my tools. I am going to make the bays across the back six feet tall for overhead storage. Thanks for sharing!
Yea man awesome. I have made the most of every inch and it's even better now. I'm going to finish up a set of adirondack chairs and I will post a video of my shop as of now. Maybe it'll help give some ideas. I'll post it in a couple hours. Check it out when you can.
I was thinking about doing this and power was the concern I had. I suppose you could set up a generator outside the door too huh?
Yes you could. I wouldnt keep it in the shop with the gas fumes but outside for sure
Beautiful <3 I love wood work <3
Yea woodwork is great for the soul in my opinion
Clayton James Woodworks I agree <3 your putting your love energy into it. I see myself doing wood work while listening to chopin <3
Yea there is just something special about creating things out of wood that to me personally is very satisfying
This is awesome. How do the owners feel about it? Is it hard to run power? I'd love to do this.
Thanks, and yes it is one cord, and yes the owners are cool with it. ive been there about three years maybe a little longer and tripped the outlet one time.
@@claytonjames85 that's cool. I may do this. I have zero space it seems. I love your shop.
@@dustysims902 thanks again. If you do one id love to see it
R u running a generator for power
starlin hembree no i have an outlet. I use the thickest cord from lowes. Its yellow but a thinner cord works just as well. I haven't had it trip the breaker yet in 3 years.
How do you heat the unit in winter? Or how would you if your lucky and dont see snow.
😂 I'm in Florida so I'm very fortunate when the winter rolls around but just how the winter is brutal up north, it's the same thing come summer in the south but fans keep the breeze so it's not too bad but there were definitely days id be sweating like crazy especially if I got behind on a project.
