In order to find city guilty the premier league needs to prove point one of the case, which is financial doping. This case is not going to end well. Because even uefa could not prove it. Because forces, deloitte and even the British tax authorities gonna sue the prem for damages 😊

They all spent alot.

United built there dominance on youth development. They grew their fan base legitimately and didn't need to use companies that belonged to the owners to inflate earnings. They spent a lot because they earned it legitimately. Liverpool went 30 years without winning the league and before that, before that, they didn't spend any more than any other team. Today, Liverpool enjoy success because Klopp got them there on a budget much smaller than City's. Not to mention the fact that Liverpool have earned their prestige.

Epl with certain clubs started it. Sustained attacks on City's image with bias reporting of situations etc. Left to the American owned clubs English teams would be crapnin Europe.

American owners are just interested in ROI if they win a trophy or league here and their no issues. The problem is they are being put to shame by City and their fans want them to spend to compete because of the history of success of these big clubs. The American owners are loathe to spend so the lies of we can't compete , City cheated etc are convenient excuses for their failure and decisions not to invest.

They finished 15th with an 8 point deduction, after finishing 17th the season before. They did this with the 4th best defence in the league. Chelsea finished 6th despite another season of massively overspending.

Arsenal broke so many records this season, Aston Villa got back in the UCL for the first time in like 30 years, Arsenal got their highest points tally in 20 years, most goals scored in history, best defensive record in the league, UCL quarters for the first time in 14 years. Aston Villa really only got top 4 because everyone around them was shit, unbelievable first half of the season and then they were poor second half.

There were as many people saying Arsenal would fall off and not get top 4 as there were people saying Villa wouldn't get top 4. It was the common consensus from fans and pundits Arsenal wouldn't challenge again and most people put United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Villa ahead, Rice was going to flop, Arteta would be sacked and Arsenal would be back to their banter era. People said last year was like the Leicester year.
