The skintone is typically chalky when I’m done with this paint, but once I spray it with matte sealer it looks great. I use rustoleum clear matte spray

Just looked and I like that, a lot! I thought on the digital render, they had him with the newer hogan torso, but it could be the Gunther elite. I’ll have to find that render. I really like that, though! I’m gonna make myself another Joe Hendry, and I considered the Gunther torso.

I’ve seen it done a few ways. I’m by no means a pro, but I like to paint the entire skintone first, then the eyes. It is harder, but it works for me. I plan to do a video showing specifically how I do it. Just need to pick out some specific heads that would be a good example to use!

I’m actually planning to do that. I just ordered a resin 3d printer, so that’s gonna give me the opportunity for a LOT more customs 👀 once I can print, I’ll be doing Kerry Von Erich immediately. Yep. I’ve got like 3 IRS torsos ready and waiting. Headeration also just made Bull Buchanan, so I’ll be able to add him as well! Yeah, that crossed my mind. I’m gonna need to be creative with him 🤔

That’s exactly how I got into customs. I use a fine tip sculpting tool for my eyes. It’s a huge pain, but it’s worth it because it can really make a headsculpt look good.

Man, bring the comments! I love chatting about figures. I’m working on Hayabusa and Psychosis right now. Redoing Sabu, also. Tiger mask is on my to-do list! I actually have an old headsculpt from Hausfourteen that I’m going to use. I tried looking around, but I’m not sure if it’s available anywhere now. Like dorado could definitely be an option!

Right on!! Welcome, man. So I used to use apple barrel paint from Walmart. Super cheap, less than $1 a bottle. It was fine for beginning. Now I use Vallejo paint. It covers better, I use less, and it doesn’t rub off easily like the cheaper paint. When I use it, I put a little in my paint tray, 2-3 drops of water to thin it a little bit, then apply a few layers until I’m happy with the thickness of the coat on the figure.

It was TERRIBLE haha. Honestly, idk how much you plan to paint, but I think ricochet would fit him best. Between kofi and Apollo, I’d probably go with Apollo?

@@thefiguredude i'm not much for painting torsos. Thanks though, i was kinda thinking Apollo too 'cause of the torso shape and he's on the cheaper side. I'll go with him then.
