The Trail Behind the House: Crug Mawr
We recently took a wee trip to the Black Mountains in South Wales.
Behind the house we stayed in, there was a trail. It looked good on the map, and even better from across the valley. So we went for a ride to see if it lived up to our expectations.

@@freemenofengland2880 I checked the OS map. All of it is a bridleway, so we were within our rights to cycle there.

Thanks for posting, strongly considering this as my next MTB. First review I have been able to find for the AMP model. Great job filming!
Hi Kyle. Glad you liked it. Fin story: I was planning to get the CRX but ended up getting the AMP be cause it was a) in stock b) heavily discounted At full price, I would probably go for the CRX as the suspension is at least as good and the bits that make the AMP expensive (X01 drivetrain, carbon bar, Reverb) have a fairly minor impact on the ride. Still good value for what you get, but whether that stuff is stuff you need is up to you. At the price I got it, it's a fabulous bike. I really get on with it and have had no issues living with it. Whichever one you get, you won't regret it (unless you think too hard about which one you got).
How old are you? I just hit 38 and I feel like I struggle to enjoy mtb anymore since my stamina is terrible 😭
