Born in the rich music bed of East Tennessee, Wyatt Ellis has quickly become one of the most-watched young musicians in bluegrass music. A devotee of Bill Monroe, Ellis has been mentored by many iconic bluegrass musicians, including Bobby Osborne. Wyatt has studied with mandolin masters, composed his own original instrumentals, and transitioned from playing alone in his living room to performing seamlessly alongside bluegrass legends and Hall of Famers.
During the pandemic, learning about bluegrass music became Wyatt’s preferred pastime. With no close neighbors, and the music world suddenly at his fingertips, his passion for music grew. In a few short years, Ellis has mastered the mandolin and morphed into a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. He has been invited to perform on stage with some of the most iconic musicians of this era such as Peter Rowan, and Marty Stuart. In 2024, Wyatt was named International Bluegrass Music Association's Momentum Instrumentalist of the Year.

@WyattEllis this song has a jean luc pointy feel to it...bluegrass is tops in my book but I also try and learn from many types of music. I play my Mando on my thrash metal guitar tracks sometimes in the studio. It's exciting to step into the unknown and it can spawn new ideas that are so much fun! Never limit your creativity 😉😎 also try plugging into a Kemper if you haven't....very good profiles I use on guitar and Mando tracks...try one.

I've met the hell yeah guy... he's been in a lot of Billy shows!
In the 60's I use to attend such impromptu hootenannies every Sunday afternoon in Washington Square park, Greenwich Village neighborhood in lower Manhattan - less than two miles north of the Wall Street financial district. Come Monday morning some of the musicians were at their desk in 3 piece suites.
