Venue was Bella Sala Event Center. 500 guests so we used JBL SRX835p 3 way tops with 18 inch subs. Probably could’ve used the dual 18’s but singles were fine. 1/2 to 1/3 power on the mixer had the crowd on the dance floor until the sparkler send off!! Bride and Groom were so nice, great families on both sides!!!

What do you use for?
@@giovanni4151 mainly weddings or school dances
Congratulations ❤🎉
Pb ultimade , or jbl PA prx?
What speakers were used?
Jbl prx800 series powered speakers and subwoofers
What’s your thoughts on the dhr I just got one ☝️
My bro has one with his outfit. It’s not as strong as the JBL but it sounds great. It hold’s its own.
@@Stacyweberiowa kool thanks keep up the videos 💪🏾
It only work on 1 speaker .
Sometimes the speaker doesn’t connect, watch for the fast flashing
I’m tempted 🙃on getting dhr I have Fbt promaxx 14a great brand. And speaker but I luv wood cabinets and for price and reliability of Yamaha they are great I had 1 dsr 112 years we great as well should of kept it
Appreciate the uploads! Considering a pair of PRX835, however, noticed in your recent uploads, the use of 2-way tops. I believe PRX812 in conjunction with your existing dual 18’s. Have you moved away from the PRX835? Would value your feedback as I make this decision. Currently running a pair of EON710 tops with dual EON718s subs. Happy with the overall sound, however, seeking a little more horsepower than the EON710’s can deliver. Debating PRX912 or PRX835 and based upon your experience with the 835’s, would truly value your feedback. Thanks!
The 812’s are only used if the venue is smaller or I’m outside for the ceremony use. I try to stay with 3 ways or the 825’s in the wedding venues that hold 250-400 people.
Never heard the 912’s but can’t go wrong with the 835’s
Qual o nome do aplicativo para que eu possa usar na prx815?
which subs would you recommend with the 835's??
18’s all day long
I use Prx818xlfw subs and in big events use the Srx828p subs
Did you ever listen to the DHR10s and can you comment on them compared to the DBR10 or the DXR10? If not, can you comment on how those wooden DHR15s sound compared to other 15" boxes. Thanks in advance!
Never heard the 10’s. In weddings where we have 100 or more guests I’d recommend a sub.
@@Stacyweberiowa ok thank you. Acoustic guitar and vocals here so no sub but I was wondering if you heard them. Thanks for your response!
@@JHGurganus I sent this unit south with my brother to dj in the Lake of the Ozarks. Very little contact with them. I did see side by side comparison with jbl 825’s in a large gym recently. Jbl was much louder. But I’m a jbl guy so perhaps I’m biased. We’ll see how they hold up and report back in 100 gigs!!
@@Stacyweberiowa perfect I look forward to the report!
@Bradley-uv3bm thanks...man that sucks it isn't that loud through the RCA inputs. I wonder why?
Can the 835's be pole or tripod mounted? If not, how does one handle a large crowd when the sound needs to reach the back without blockage from the front line of guests?
I set them on top of subs. I use both PRX818xlfw and the big boys- SRX828p subs. I used these speakers, several pair on top of a flatbed trailer to broadcast music for a 4th of July Event for a smaller community in my area. 8,000 people. I’ve been asked back three years as the response from the crowd was always a positive one. You don’t want to be too close to the stage, it’ll get up there in the 130db range and the throw is incredible. I can’t say I own poles big enough to hold them either. They weigh more than my Aunt Betty. Be safe! Thanks for the view and comment!!!!
Hey quick question would you have any EQ settings for the JBL PRX818 XLFW?
When I set up this weekend I’ll try to grab a video of them for you.
@@Stacyweberiowa appreciate it thank you! Are you on IG ?
@@mykicks_media nope
When u wanna get rid of them, pls sell them for me yah ? I truthfully wanna bye them
Im a Techno Dj. Can you recommend this speakers for Electronic music. And do they have enough bass to be used without a subwoofer ? Thanks !
Depending on people count, this set would do fine 130-150 people… anything more, or hip hop type music, definitely get a sub!!!
Nice
Thanks

My day job. Lol
great video ..please how many chauvet fx2 I will need to cover 500 people please
Four I’d think
I feel small speakers have thicker sound for vocal and that’s 825?
A lot of people are having a hard time to connect to the app was it hard for you
Not really. Used an old iPad and it worked fine. 2nd generation I believe.
Wow That’s amazing ❤❤
i’d like to know which is the loudest at full volume first, also I’d like to know which has the strongest bass between the 2, if possible
Never had them at max. The 835’s are full range and better in smaller areas, 825’s are often used by local bands set up on stages outdoors. Both sound good. 835 is fuller. My opinion
Bass is stronger in the 835
@@Stacyweberiowa that’s quite bizarre, as 2 15” woofers on the 825 should push more air for a richer bass instead of just 1 15” woofer on the 835… Interesting to know!!
@@Les_Gõr I know right? I thought the same thing.
@@Les_Gõr you'd think so, but the 835 is a 3 way speaker & the 825 is a 2 way speaker so the crossover curves have alot to do with what the speakers are putting out
is a good option in this year?
The prices are coming down so I’d recommend them still!!
@@Stacyweberiowa Thanks, I understand that the app is via wifi, but can I use the normal wifi to browse the internet and the app at the same time?
@@wilsonmarrugo7785 the app is separate but will connect independently to the speaker under “WiFi” and while it is operating you can still go onto the internet. I’m assuming you are streaming music as well? After you set the speaker up, you can drop off the app as it Will remember what the settings are. Good to go brother
@@Stacyweberiowa Excelent brother. You were very helpful. I think I'll buy it.
is a good option in this year?
Which is which though
I just bought some and out of the box don't like the sound. I haven't tried tuning yet with the app. A few questions, once I get them set to.a.soumd I like will they stay at that setting, or will it reset to the original settings at every power up. Do I need a router at an event to make any changes.
They stay on the last setting. I use mine at home on my network to set up, I didn’t want to buy a dedicated router. Out of the box, they come flat. They sound rich after you tune them.
I just bought 2 of the PRX812w’s. My iPhone recognizes their network, but the JBL Pro Connect can’t find them. What’s the magic? (All my other similar speakers from other manf’s setup fine)
Sorry just saw this. You get it figured out?
@@Stacyweberiowa Thanks for the reply Stacy. Unfortunately there’s no iPhone app for the 812’s. ->Harmon/JBL seriously neglected to port their “PRX Connect”software to the iPhone App Store. ***It only works on an Android, a MAC, or a recent version iPad. ***And how long have these 812w’s been out????? Well long enough for them to create an iPhone app!!! The only kudos I’ll give them is, their app worked on my old iPad version 2, which none of my other music software will work on.
@@armstronglance I use an old iPad, I should’ve said that. 2nd or 3rd gen
What’s the universe of people does the speakers can cover? (A pair with their subwoofers)
Typically I see 250-300 people max in the audiences I dj for. The sound is enough. They can talk and still hear each other speaking around 50 feet from the speakers.
Recently been doing weddings with 400-450 people. No issues at all. Big weddings in the last few weeks.
Unless the microphone is in front of the speakers and the microphone is a good quality one coming into an audio input it's a useless test, sorry.
No worries. I’m just throwing something out there, I looked myself for a comparison of the two, prior to purchasing the 835 and couldn’t find one. I used my phone, best I had brother.
Cuanto cuestan en dolares
$800-900 dollars currently.
PRX 835 sounds better, but too much yellow on the mixer.
It’s not a problem. That type of music have no peaks. The sonic content does not reach overload.
Sounds immaculate 🔥
Hmm... still a difficult choice :\
wow! Your answer changes my purchasing plans: O
what's your verdict?
835’s are much richer, stronger.
@@Stacyweberiowa It is more powerful despite being smaller and has one rather than two 15'' speakers ???
@@dariuszlekki I believe so yes. The watts are concentrated on the one 15 so it’s rich and powerful. I have two sets of these now. They are top shelf stuff. No regrets from purchase.
Sell them all for the srx835p’s.
👍
Sounds Great!! 👍
Love It 👍

Nice speakers!
Dope video. I have the 15’s and the eq makes a big difference to me. Make sure to update the speakers firmware too. Made a difference on mine.
how do you do that?
Hello, I also have two of the jbl prx812w speakers and a prx815 xlfw bass. Do you run the tops in flat and do you boost the voices (vocals of the songs) with the app?
I boost the vocals. I use the app to control the tops and raise the mids and highs after a high pass from the subs. These things can really be pushed hard. Enjoy my other videos. Thanks for watching.
@@Stacyweberiowa Oh well, it sounds like you can get a lot more out of the speakers. Can you send me a photo of the setting / settings. I want to try that out.
