I may have misspoken...
Were you a beginner doing this project or did you have some prior knowledge in robotics and coding? I want to build something like this too but it might be a bit ambitious for me, was considering on doing "How does a line follower robot work?" as an alternative.
Im sorry I only just saw your comment, if you are still interested in some info reply on here and I can tell you more :)
Wait till you get it flying then you'll know what a tree is really for!
I think the tail is too heavy
possibly
Take it and get your money back and maybe buy a rocket!. Rocket kits are fun to build and fly!
RC PLAN?? YOU MEAN PLANE?
it says plane, maybe you misread it?
@@pat_bu1192 bro i rlly saw plan not plane i think you just changed it thats ok even i misspell sometimes
@@AKANT664 yes i did change it, sorry for trying to trick you :)))
@@pat_bu1192 YESS I KNEW IT

Give a bit curve to wing. the wing V-shape it will help ithe wing is to flat if dosent wort search for FT simple cub and make it
great advice, thank you :)
Did it fly ? Till now ?
unfortunately I have had a lot of exams recently so not had a chance to try :(
Gavin edit goes hard 🔥🔥🔥
Truly 🙏
This truly is one of THE leavers videos of all time
Awesome 😎 I myself am attempting to make my first aircraft and I crashed over and over 😂
ah thats the way though, im sure youll get there soon tho, best of luck :)
@@pat_bu1192 thanks 😊 🚀😎
Flight distance three miles between group's and soldiers in three hours time fight in bakhmut today use boat to steer ship out of port in Crimea take picture of hull and blow a hole in it like the Moskva
Thats an awesome project :)
thanks, took a lot of time and effort haha :)
Not Enough Thrust😢And Even CG is correct, but I appreciate this Man👍♥️
Hopefully it will fly soon :)
@@pat_bu1192 ok im waiting 😍
Write down the names and brands of spare parts I wait for the answer
Good 👍😊
@@asadbekahmadaliyev1924 all parts where bought from www.flitetest.com/ :)
cool
thank you :)
Good luck!
thank youuu
bro hella windy too
it was such a nuisance lmao
It's tail heavy
am working on fixing that
great video, good luck for next flights. crash happens, keep goin on
thank youuuuu :)
What you need to do is move the battery forward throw the plane harder and have up elevator when you launch it. Should feel like it is goi bc to fly out of you hand. Anyways plane looks great 👍 very nice job on designing/ making it
thank you, I had a lot of fun designing and making it, I will take ur advice into account and hopefully have it up in the air soon :)
whats size motors are you using? I'm using a single 1400 kv motor and it seems to not have enough power for a 4 foot by 4 foot airplane
im using 2 1180 kv motors, think the fact its not working could be more to do with weight as im sure urs could fly with that motor
It looks aerodynamically capable of flight(With adjustments). I’ve built a few of these - here are some tips to get it flying properly: 1. Center of gravity(CG) positioning along the fuselage. Your plane’s behavior is consistent with having a CG that is way too far aft(Backwards). You’ll want to reposition any electronics you can(Especially the battery) further forward inside the fuselage. Then put the airplane back together and find a spot on the bottom of its fuselage where it’ll balance on your finger without tipping - That spot is the CG. A good rule of thumb for proper CG positioning on an airplane is 1/3 chord - EG if your wings are 9 inches from leading edge to trailing edge, then you would want the CG at a spot that is 3 inches aft of the leading edge of the wings. Keep readjusting the positioning of your plane’s electronics as necessary until the fully assembled airplane balances there. Now, your plane’s wings have some tapering, so you would have to do some math to figure out precisely where 1/3 chord is. Or, in the case of your plane, a simpler approach would be to simply use 1/3 chord of the wing root(The furthest forward section of your plane’s wings along their span) - You’ll end up with a CG an inch or two further forward than is required, but the plane will still be controllable and should fly quite well. It’s always better to have a CG too far forward than too far back. And in the unlikely event that you’re unable to get the CG sufficiently forward through moving the electronics alone, add some nose ballast as well. 2. Secure the electronics in place inside your plane so they won’t move in flight. It appears in your build video that you didn’t do this - That’s going to cause your CG to vary wildly in flight, making for an uncontrollable, unflyable airplane. The goal is to keep the plane’s CG location constant throughout flight. The receiver and wires can be secured with tape and double-sided mounting tape. For the battery(Most critical - It’s got a lot of mass), do some research online to get ideas for making a secure battery holder. I typically use combinations of plastic gift cards, velcro, foamboard, mounting tape, and/or hot glue. 3. Avoid unnecessary damage to a plane that’s not flying right. If the plane isn’t flying at all on the first or second launch attempt, then stop - There’s a reason it’s not flying correctly, and no number of subsequent launch attempts will make it perform any different. Take the airplane home and fix its problems before going back out and reattempting flight. And if you aren’t sure what those problems are, don’t be afraid to ask for help, such as on RC forums like RCGroups or Flite Test.
That all said, if you make those adjustments and get it flying, I would love to see a flight video :) I think your plane looks cool - Reminds me of a B-25.
1. the CG has always been a problem but thanks to ur advice I hope not for much longer, thank you :) 2. for the build video they weren't secured in place but when actually flying they were, apart from at one point where the battery came free, I will do more research on designing and making better housings for my next attempt. 3. thankfully the majority of the damage was to the nose so wasn't too hard to fix, will bare that all in mind it was just such a nice day to try and fly that was ll. flight test was a big inspiration so will certainly use those resources. 4. the B-25 was a big design inspiration, will have another attempt soon so stay tuned :) thank you for all the advice.
@@pat_bu1192 Cool, looking forward to seeing that thing fly!
@@JozMkII hopefully soon, the weather has just been so bad recently :(
Hi dude !! Nice job !! I don't have too much knowledge about planes, but may be a litlle dihierdral could help to make it more stable. In my opinion the wings are too flat. Heavy tail, yes. Move the CG forward ok too. And you have no problem with the thrust, so great !! Not too many adjustments ans it will fly !!! Best of luck and keep uploading awesome content ! Regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina !
thank you so much for the advice :) ill take it all into account, I sure hope so haha :)
Way too tail heavy.
figured, will work on it thank you
Fun video.
thank you :)
Extend the nose by 10cm and get the CG forward it will fly. Forget the power, get it chuck gliding properly then roll on the throttle You could also look for a slope to try and soar it first. Well done, it looks great.
thank you, will take all this into account when making adjustments before my next attempt.
Well done
thank you :)
"Keep on truckin", that's what makes DBF so fun! I'm sure you'll get there.
will do, thank youuu
You may wish to try with a simple rectangular wing, where the centre of gravity (CG) will be between 1/4 and 1/3 of the chord. In other words, if the chord is 12cm, the CG will be between 3cm and 4cm measured from the wing's leading edge.
will bare that in mind, thanks for the advice I had been struggling to find a good position for cg!
Clearly too tail heavy.
i have since realised haha
@@pat_bu1192 nice. I am waiting for your next video.
It started with Flitetest for me as well. Ten yrs later I am a supervisor of an R&D facility building touch sensors . Build, fail, build, fail, win… repeat.
inspirational, I do want to work in engineering R&D
Can't wait to see if she will fly better!
hopefully she will! I will try again when the weather is nicer :)
I think try adding weight to the nose.
it is already quite heavy but if nothing else works then yes I will, thank you
Check the CG, I think its too tail heavy. If its not that, check the thrust angle of the motors as it can effect flight characteristics. In this case try a bit of down thrust (1 or 2 degrees)
yeah the plan is to push the nose forward and move the battery with it to help push the centre of gravity foward a bit, if that doesn't work then i will think about changing thrust angles, thank you :)
love the buffering in the into
