I felt so bad for Mavis. And Beth is so fucked up and I don’t get why everybody acts like she’s a saint. She(Beth) probably knew about the miscarriage since she and Buddy are close and happy, they must have had the conversation. Even if she didn’t know about the miscarriage it’s still weird to invite Mavis because she “feels sorry” for her. I mean if you feel sorry leave her the fuck alone. Beth is condescending and a pretend goody-goody.

this could have easily been a very bland played character but charlize theron did it so well.
