It's not so bad living below average, it's pretty comfortable
Back home in Hawaii for a bit to watch my parents place while they are on vacation. I forgot how expensive groceries were out here after going to to the grocery store. That got me thinking about how much it cost to live comfortably in the United States, and when I googled it the first result said $96,500/yr for a single adult. As a single adult myself that doesn't make close to that amount, I think I live quite a low stress and comfortable life. It ain't a lavish life but I'm not struggling to pay bills or worried about paying rent. I also have time and money to do things that I enjoy so it seems crazy to me that there are so many videos on this platform where single people complain they ...

Tried to learn too many skateboard tricks, can't land any of them
Просмотров 1273 месяца назад
I need to stop trying to learn so many different tricks and just get more consistent with the ones I already know. I found out how much a suck at skateboarding again when I moved to a new place and could barely do any tricks at the different skateparks. Better to be able to land a 5-10 nice tricks than to have a big bag of tricks and take 20 plus tries to even land one.
Plans for this pointless life (Backside smith grind)
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Tried to learn backside smith grinds recently. I didn't land a proper one but I hurt my neck recently so not sure when I'll be able to attempt them again. Other than that just chopping it up, talking about some life goals since I don't see a fairytale ending in my life. Trying to solidify a few things I want to make sure I do before it's all over.
Its hard to be nice to strangers these days (Frontside nosegrind/overcrook)
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.6 месяцев назад
Frontside nosegrind or overcrook was way harder than I thought it was gonna be because nosegrind on a ledge and krooked grinds on round rails is not that hard. Still working on them but thought I would share a story about a strange dude that would come by the skatepark. Moral of the story is that you don't really know what other people are going through and its probably better to be nice instea...

30 Years Old, Still Want to Be Cool (Backside Tailslide)

Finally trying to learn to backside tailslide. One of the more scary tricks to learn cause you slide blind but theres a lot of low ledges for me to try it on. Other than that, just me yapping about how I still feel the need for validation even though you really should just be skateboarding for yourself. You know, those mid life crises kinda vibes.

Im a skinny person who does at least three yoga classes a week and tends to eat whatever I want. However, I eat a very low amount of calories. Because of my ADHD often I forget to eat or skip meals. Because of this my stomach has shrunk and so I eat smaller portion sizes. In addition I was raised in a health conscious household so while I do eat what I want it tends to be healthier food anyways because that’s how I was raised. I also have the genetic component. My point is that there is no way you could eat more than a man eats of unhealthy food and remain that skinny. I eat generally what I want and it is a lot of carby foods but I just don’t eat a lot of them. This isn’t the healthiest diet and I’m working on incorporating more food and protein and gaining healthy weight

Yeah that's BS. I've never been overweight and there was only one time in my life where I had visible abs. Maintaining them as a woman is a nightmare. I was calorie counting, restricting, doing HIIT / other types of workouts for 5-6 days a week. I did that for like a year maximum, but honestly I'm happier now just being relaxed - still being aware of what I eat, while still treating myself, moving daily, working out 2-3x a week. I don't have abs or a perfectly flat belly but I'm healthy and happy. That counts the most.

I've struggled with eating disorder for 5 whole years WHILE working out, and I know for a fact that she is lying. When I begann to gain more weight, I obviously lost more of my abs. But mainly also because I HAD TO STOP working out in order to get into a healthy row before wanting to continue anything. Its literally yesterday that I took a slowe small step back into my work out routine again coming back into my avarage weight, and I feel a lot of positive difference by doing so. I will mainly work out now in order to contain a heathy level of body fat with nothing too drastic anymore. My body needs the fat. Thus for my back and stomach to keep it well balanced. My leg is already toned enough, thats the only part of my body that stayed athletic, strong and firm despite my weight gain journey trough the struggle, I am pretty proud of them to be honest 😂. But my arms are noodles, so I will give it a bit of adjustment.

My body is like that, my metabolism is like that, I easily consume 2,000-3,000 calories every day without gaining any weight.

This is the only thing I did to get rid of all the bed bugs in my house. I used the food grade DE powder just like you show with the little brush. I put it in a 6 inch wide circle around the edge of the bare mattress (there was no Cimexa years ago) and slept inside a sleeping bag in the center to lure the vampires to their death. There wasn't any bedding hanging over the edge of the bed. Bed bugs had to walk across the thin, nearly invisible, powder to get to me. What surprised me was how few new bed bug bites there were and how soon they stopped because I saw a lot of bed bugs crawling all over in the bedroom. I think the ones that walked over the powder on the mattress returned to their nest and contaminated other bugs, killing many more of them. I knew the BED BUG EGGS can hatch several weeks after the adult bugs are dead, so I continued to sleep this way for over a month to make sure the new babies did not survive. This easy bed treatment was all I did to get rid of the entire infestation. I did not have a sofa or soft chairs where bed bugs can hide. If I ever get bed bugs again, I will get a portable Sansbug BUG TENT to sleep inside in the middle of the bed surrounded by the lethal Cimexa or food grade Diatomaceous earth. At night the bed bugs will smell me and come for a blood meal, but after walking across the powder, THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO GET INSIDE THE TENT TO BITE ME. Bed bugs will kill themselves while I sleep peacefully. I'd pack the tent to take on trips away from home.
