If you don't mind me asking, how much was the entire process to get your CCW permit? From the class and qualification amount to the price paid to submit the application and to your local PD?

Been building mine for about 4 years now and it been difficult. TONS of parts are discontinued and more of them everytime i turn around to fix something else. ESPECIALLY transmission parts. Awesome to see someone else restoring fixing up another DSM! Hop on the DSMTuners site and post some stuff there too!

Did adding the foam tape to fill the gap make a big difference for you? I just put ls1 fans on mine and they arent xooling quite as much as i would like.

Had any issues with your temps in the summer? I installed this kit on my 5.3 TB and the temps creep up if it’s a hot day out. I attributed it to the fact the LS1 fans don’t completely cover the radiator. I also have 170k miles on a stock radiator with a 187 degree thermostat. I’d like a second opinion to know if the LS1 fans just aren’t good compared to the full aluminum shroud with SPAL fans or if I should replace my radiator and thermostat with a 160 degree one.

The range has a wall. Use a measuring tape and mark the distance. The range officer just hung out with the guy. This was a very weird situation to watch.
