This is very bad for a number of reasons. Water obstructing bore going to increase pressure. A hollow point fired into a barrel filled with water is going to immediately start expanding, further increasing pressure. A simple visual inspection down the barrel isn't enough to say no damage took place. There's almost certainly a few thousandths of an inch of bulging near the chamber that wasn't there before if you could measure the inside with calipers. Some guns and suppressors will "survive" being shot partially or completely filled with water, but this is usually intended to be an accident/emergency use case when time is not available to completely drain and not a regular occurance. A person will "survive" a concussion or two with minimal damage, but things start going downhill fast the more often/frequently they occur.
