Off The Hook at the The Great Wallingford Bratwurst Festival presented by St. Benedict Catholic School on 9-20-24. Our closing number instead of Satisfaction, which we replaced because we didn't think we had time to play it. So it was an audible and the 9th song.

Bompo's Movies Part 2 John Scott Iowa City Des Moines
Hi Chuck!
I knew I was in groovytown because all the rugs were shredded completely cut up.
THIS IS THE SHIT!!
Take my mind away and all the paperwork for it Take it away Take my clothes away and give them to a store Maybe they can resell them or sew a button on the green shirt that I lost My mind is a suitcase sometimes full and on the go, a briefcase sometimes empty and so slow look out down below! Take my time away and all the people who spend it They can have a nice long meeting and make some decisions that might affect the rest of my life My mind is a barrel spinning down a canyon wall - floating right over Niagara Falls Look out down below! Take my brain away
good song. i like jangle rock, and this reminds me of REM. plus i like the humorous home made video. genuine fun! thank you
Gasworks park!
Possibly the best band to come from Seattle.
Featuring future Young Fresh Fellows drummer Tad Hutchinson
Future Young Fresh Fellow Tad Hutchinson drumming up a storm!
The drummer is Tad Hutchinson, later of the Young Fresh Fellows!
CHUCK!
This song seems aptly appropriate for Seattle these days. Nearly everything that once was (featured) in this video is gone (or going). Sad but true. On a lighter note, I usta own the Farfisa organ featured in it (now owned by a good friend & still working too!). My how times change!
I like it when he hits the ball with the stick
What a jam
Muy buenos !YFFS
Uh! That’s my dad?
Some of the absolute most insane and, wonderfully bizarre...yet, completely epic and, out of control wacky times in my life happened in/at/around/in transit to/with The Young Fresh Fellows...particularly kooky stuff in the "Chuck Era" 💖🤘
That's the Tacoma Narrows Bridge
young fresh fellow
Kurt Bloch is an extraordinarily gifted guitarist and, an all-world human being. He's also a friend. That said, the dozens of YFF shows I was fortunate to have seen between 1984-1987 eith Chuck Carroll on lead guitar rank among the most epic, drunken, frantic, sloppy/tight, marathon, joyous rock and roll shows I've ever seen. I've played/toured since 1981 and, they were relentless record nerds with vast musical IQs and, songwriting/playing chops to match. Proud to have contributed to corrupting them on a few occasions via random happenstance run-ins on the road and, with spontaneous ingestion of magic mushrooms, very high grade weed, many, many adult beverages and, boundless all-out insanity/energy. I can only imagine how nuts Westerbergs wedding was with these guys as the hand picked "wedding band"
hail hail Johnny Sangster,Tuxen and Jonathan aka THE SHARING PATROL
Charlie Chesterman forever!
i found this after more than 20 years
This is some of the earliest footage I have seen of the Fellows, great rare clip, unfortunately one of the longest living overlooked bands in America.
The words to this song were written by Gerard Markey. On the 45 rpm the band thanks Gerard for the words. My band Criminalingo also recorded a version with a different tune. RIP Gerard. RIP Charlie.
Know anyone selling the 45? I’ve been looking for way too long but I know there weren’t many pressed.
Best song about death ever written,.
Way to go!
Can anybody tell me why they reference watching the Iowa Football game instead of the beav? I'm an Iowa fan and of course a YFF fan! Saw them in Iowa City around '87. Great show!
Chuck and Tad are from Iowa ... but I'm pretty sure he said "Ohio Footballl".
When Seattle wasn't filled with a-holes.....
I was there...It was a great Saturday afternoon drunk!! RIP Charlie.
This whole show is fantastic, thank you for posting!
Are you going to load the clip of them winning state, setting a record and being disqualified for an early hand off? Such a heartbreak, but I would like to see it!
Jeg kan huske da de spillede i Paramount i Roskilde.. Særligt fordi at vi ikke kunne betale dem fordi der kom 2 gæster og en hund (som kom gratis ind).
akke ja. det var dengang.. nu er vi 30 år ældre
Wonderful!! Beautiful piece and beautiful performance, we're all proud of you, Jackson! Keep up the great work!
Well done John. That is fun to watch
what year was this?
2015
No. 1987
i wished i could have lived in seattle and heard all those unknown bands back around 1987 before grunge and before everyone knew about it.
@@dampergoldenrod4156 It was a GREAT time to be in a GREAT place.
@@20_below Yes it was! Breaks my heart to see what's happened to our wonderful little city.
Needs a more driving beat and lots of harp throughout,
During that entire set, I was three feet in front of Chuck's organ. Um, you know what I mean. Bill, please, please help me find the footage of the opening band--my band, Lefthanded Tomorrow It's worth $200 to me. Joe Williams (pineapple69@gmail.com)
John, I'm still begging for footage of my humble opening band at that YFF show, Lefthanded Tomorrow. This is item #1 on my bucket list. Can you help? I'll double the offer--$200. Please let me know. Joe Williams, St. Louis, MO. (pineapple69@gmail.com)
Best thing ever. Thank You!
the energy is amazing, but even more amazing is the songwriting of Charlie Chesterman.
I dig that video you showed me of the guy riding the motorcycle real fast between lanes. I actually remember making a video driving real slow through Des Moines. It's incredibly boring and I go into Bauders. I've got one for you... I'll post it in a few weeks if I can. I took some footage in the mid-90s when the YFFs visited my house in Virginia.
@joewill69 I'll see what I can do. I have to look up the files. I might have the whole tape on the computer but I don't know.
I was at this show, in my striped shirt and goatee. I booked the gig for the Fellows, and my band Lefthanded Tomorrow played a handful of songs between two YFF sets. I've been on a 27-year quest for footage of my band, and I would gladly pay you $100 for it if you can contact me via my RUclips inbox. --Joe Williams
@joewill69 That's cool. I remember the band. The singer was a guy with a goatee and striped shirt? There's some of it on the tape. There are still a few songs I haven't put up from the show. I can't believe Eric won't pull it out for you. Maybe he's too lazy. Mine is a copy of his tape.
Hello, I notice you have several videos of the Young Fresh fellows show at Cicero's in St. Louis on Nov. 23, 1985. I was at the show--and my band Lefthanded Tomorrow played on the bill. No joke: I will pay cash for a video of that performance. I've been searching for years and have even asked Eric Doanldson and Scott McCaughey to dig through the archives. Can you help me? I am Joe Williams, the film critic for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and an easy fellow to find. Check your inbox for details.
Kurt Bloch's awesome, but no one beats Chuck.
FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!
sing it, chuck!
