Welcome to my channel!
Jack is a 2001, 15.2hh TB x WB gelding.
We ambled through life having no idea what we wanted to do up until the middle of 2021 when we got our side saddle, then in Oct 2021 Jack tore a tendon.
Fast forward to April 2023 and I’ve got this channel back up and running for the memories more than anything, but to keep people up to date with our side saddle outings!
I will feature videos and clips of my loan horse, Yogi. A 16.3hh ISH.

Thursday 11th June. Final prep before the side saddle nationals. Jack hasn't been out since 9th June and I desperately need to get him out before nationals. Brands Hatch for rounds 7 and 8 of the Tegiwa Racing Hondas Championship. With a new engine in, Dave managed to get back out on track but the vehicle didn't quite run as expected. He still managed two P3 finishes. Spencer had power and ABS issues which meant he finished further down than we'd all hoped. There were a lot of hold ups on the track for the Hondas. Sunday 9th June. SSA area 12's summer show. I love this show. It's a great day to get some training in and some wonderful feedback. Jack coped well and I'm pleased with him. As always. A very behind the leg Jack who didn't get time to warm up in the side saddle apart from walk from the car park. He certainly woke up for the second class. Just going to keep chipping away. He isn't a show horse and this isn't what we ever wanted to do but we have to change and adapt and he is trying his hardest not to have an opinion but I don't blame him. A very warm day at the show. Sadly didn't get change to look around after the show as the classes ran late (standard showing - the downside). Really pleased with Jack. I can only hope that the judges don't let the steward influence them. The judges are the judges and the steward is just a steward.

I have never seen him under saddle, but these in-hand classes are perfect for him. He is an absolutely gorgeous mover!! I mean, holy moly I rarely see a horse move as straight at a trot as he did! Congrats to you both!

Thank you 🧡 He's a stunner that's for sure but he knows it. Show off comes to mind. I'd say it's harder to come off, especially if you're balanced and with a strong core. However it's also very easy to whizz straight off the right/back 🤭

He doesn’t have any bald patches, he does have a white patch behind the saddle and some other white marks or the black markings. Is it either of those you mean :)

Who are you hunting
The Hunt follow a laid scent and there are runners who lay that. These days it’s called trail hunting.
@@loosecanonjack.. a comprehensive survey conducted by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), concluded that of all the registered hunts in England, less than 1% have switched to legal trail hunting since the introduction of the 2004 Hunting Act which banned the hunting of wild mammals with dogs. In other words, the vast majority are sticking two fingers up to the law & continue to hunt Foxes with impunity. They are nothing more than organised criminal gangs riding roughshod through the countryside & to hell with anyone or anything that gets in their way.
A Fox, never mind them telling you it's a "scent trail" lol. Hounds are bred to hunt Foxes and will chase them, regardless of any "scent". Its great to see people on their horses & riding in the countryside, they have my full respect, great to see a lady riding side saddle too BUT hunting live animals is barbaric

I don’t in fairness I walk then watch watch watch haha. Most of the time, they come to you so luckily, not forgotten yet however I did forget fence 10 until last minute the other month!! Hahaha

Haha luckily I’m a crazy lady in the home fields in Loughborough. But yes, the train runs right at the back of the fields. Great for desensitisation for the horses.
