Previously, I focused on producing as many videos as possible, but now I’m taking more time-spending a few days on the song and much longer on the animation. The result is less content, but I hope with better quality. I’ve also started incorporating a few samples, as I found that when I stuck to writing every note myself, things began to sound too similar.

The Experience of Thinking Without Words and Its Symbolism in the Animation When you stop thinking with words, the mind transitions from a structured, verbal process to an open, fluid state of awareness. This shift is profound, like stepping out of a bustling city into a quiet, boundless landscape. Concepts no longer move in rigid sentences or definitions but flow as images, shapes, sensations, and intuitions, forming a dynamic, interconnected web. It’s as if the mind lets go of its need to define and categorize, allowing phenomena to simply be, free of judgment or constraint. In the animation, this state is symbolized through dynamic, non-verbal imagery: 1. Dissolution of Verbal Constructs What Happens: The constant inner chatter of words and labels fades, leaving a spacious stillness. The mind feels lighter, no longer burdened by the need to organize thoughts into linguistic structures. Symbolism: The grand library, initially filled with towering shelves of books, begins to shift. The books dissolve into streams of glowing light, representing the transformation of rigid knowledge into fluid, intuitive awareness. 2. Emergence of Abstract Geometry What Happens: Thoughts are no longer "spoken" internally but appear as patterns, movements, and connections. Lines, curves, and shapes become the language of the mind, representing the essence of ideas rather than their linguistic labels. Symbolism: The translucent sphere, representing the mind, begins to pulse with intricate geometrical patterns. Lines and circles twist and overlap, forming dynamic shapes that shift in response to the sphere's movements. These patterns symbolize the free-flowing nature of wordless cognition. 3. Exploration of Probabilities What Happens: Instead of anchoring to fixed conclusions, the mind explores possibilities. Each idea is like a particle in superposition, holding multiple potential meanings simultaneously. Symbolism: The glowing thought that darts across the sphere’s surface represents these infinite potentials. It moves fluidly, never settling, inviting the sphere to follow and explore without collapsing into a single, fixed state. 4. Dissolution of Judgment What Happens: The need to judge or categorize dissipates. Thoughts no longer feel like they need to be “right” or “wrong.” Instead, the mind rests in open awareness, observing the flow of ideas with curiosity and ease. Symbolism: The sphere reaches a radiant garden, where flowers ripple with shifting colors. The mind interacts with this environment, not to dissect or categorize but to appreciate its fluid, interconnected beauty. The garden itself represents the mind’s newfound freedom to perceive without judgment. 5. A Playful, Intuitive Flow What Happens: In this state, the mind becomes playful, guided by curiosity rather than control. Ideas arise and fade like waves, each one contributing to a larger tapestry of understanding. Symbolism: The butterfly of light distracts the sphere from its pursuit of the thought. This moment captures the spontaneity of wordless thinking-insights are found not through direct effort but by following where intuition leads. The butterfly’s erratic, joyous flight symbolizes the mind’s embrace of this free-flowing process. 6. Unity and Interconnection What Happens: Without the constraints of words, the mind experiences a sense of unity. Concepts no longer exist in isolation but as part of a larger, interconnected whole. Symbolism: At the crystalline fountain, the sphere’s surface ripples in harmony with the water’s flow. The kaleidoscope of refracted light represents the interconnected nature of thoughts, each one reflecting and amplifying the others. 7. Reflection and Integration What Happens: As the mind begins to return to its normal state, the experience of wordless thinking leaves a lasting impression. Even as words resume their place, the spaciousness and fluidity remain as an undercurrent. Symbolism: The sphere returns to the library, now imbued with a soft, steady glow. Its surface reflects the geometric patterns of its journey, symbolizing the integration of wordless insights into the verbal world. In Essence Thinking without words is like stepping into a realm where ideas are not constrained by definitions but experienced as fluid, living entities. It is a state of openness and wonder, where the boundaries of thought dissolve, and the mind becomes a playground of interconnected possibilities. In the animation, this is symbolized through the transformation of the rigid, structured library into a luminous, dynamic landscape of light, patterns, and flowing forms. The sphere’s journey represents the process of letting go of verbal constructs and embracing a deeper, more intuitive way of perceiving the world.

That’s fascinating! I hope to visit North Africa again someday, as I’ve only been to Egypt so far. I would love to experience Fez firsthand, especially to witness the pilgrimage to the tombs of the Sufi saints. Fez looks so vibrant and colorful; it would make an amazing subject for a video on Morocco. Recently, I’ve been studying how Sufism is practiced in different countries, and Morocco stands out as one of the most interesting examples.

thank you for your comment. i never thought about the effect of Islam on gothic architecture before but it seems there are a lot of connections. heres a list from chat GPT: The connection between Islam and Gothic architecture, though not immediately obvious, is surprisingly rich, woven together through exchanges of ideas, materials, and techniques across centuries of medieval interaction, especially around the Mediterranean. This link is primarily architectural and mathematical, as Gothic architecture borrowed heavily from Islamic architectural innovations in Spain, the Levant, and North Africa. Here’s how these connections manifest: 1. Structural Innovations and the Arch Pointed Arches: Gothic architecture is famed for its pointed arches, which allowed for taller, more slender structures and larger windows. These pointed arches had already been developed in the Islamic world centuries earlier, seen in mosques and palaces across North Africa and the Middle East. The Crusaders encountered this technique and admired its structural advantage, gradually adopting it in European cathedrals. Ribbed Vaulting: Ribbed vaulting in Gothic cathedrals allowed for greater heights and expansive ceilings, using a lighter framework to support heavy stone roofs. Though ribbed vaulting was an original innovation in Gothic architecture, Islamic architecture had long used similar methods in dome construction, particularly in places like the Great Mosque of Córdoba. 2. Ornamentation and Aesthetics Geometric Patterns and Arabesque Motifs: Islamic art is characterized by intricate geometric patterns and arabesques, which suited both decorative purposes and mathematical precision. Gothic architecture, while initially more figurative in its sculpture and decoration, increasingly incorporated geometric patterns, particularly in its tracery (ornamental stonework in windows). The resemblance is most noticeable in rose windows, whose radial symmetry and complexity echo Islamic tilework and lattice screens. Light and Stained Glass: Light is spiritually significant in both Islamic and Gothic architecture, where it represents divine presence. Islamic mosques, especially in Persia and Central Asia, used coloured glass and perforated stone screens to diffuse light in symbolic, mystical ways. Gothic cathedrals expanded on this by integrating stained glass, often in massive rose windows, to create a similar, almost ethereal play of colour and light within sacred spaces. 3. Mathematics and Proportion Geometry and the Golden Ratio: Both Islamic and Gothic architectures are grounded in mathematics, with a strong emphasis on symmetry and proportion. Islamic architecture, especially during the Abbasid and Moorish periods, made extensive use of geometry, often employing the golden ratio and complex algorithms to create harmonious designs. This mathematical approach influenced Gothic architects, who aimed for precision and balance, particularly in cathedrals like Chartres and Notre-Dame. 4. Cultural Exchange via the Crusades and Al-Andalus During the Crusades and through trade routes in Al-Andalus (Islamic Spain), artisans and architects encountered Islamic art, science, and architectural principles. Many of these innovations - from hydraulics to geometry - were subsequently studied and adapted in Europe. This cultural exchange fostered a new architectural language, combining the spatial grandeur of Islamic structures with the vertical, light-seeking ambition of Gothic design. 5. Mystical Symbolism and Spirituality In Islamic art, particularly Sufism, architectural motifs like domes, arches, and intricate patterns symbolize the infinite and reflect a path toward divine union. Gothic architecture, deeply influenced by Christian mysticism, sought to elevate the soul through towering spires and light-filled naves, aspiring to transport the mind upward toward heaven. Both architectures, in a way, pursue this vertical movement toward a higher plane, although they differ in theological expression. In essence, Gothic architecture can be seen as a complex, inspired evolution of Islamic innovations, blended with Christian symbolism. This architectural lineage reminds us of a time when cross-cultural exchange laid the foundation for some of the world’s most awe-inspiring structures. The resulting forms, patterns, and light-play of Gothic cathedrals stand testament to the depth and beauty of Islamic influence embedded in Western architecture.

what i did originally with neoclassical and classical design and this software, I must admit, has become a little over represented by ottoman and middle eastern style of late, i'm sure that will change in time, I just started the Mahabarata, thinking about that right now. i might have spent long enought with what has in part been a therapeutic exercise in nostalgia. Any time i spend too long on this part of the world i can go a little wrong, happened sdeveral times, maybe time to move along this abovementioned road, bag in hand.

this was originally meant to be anatolian wildlife but software got confused - i don't think those big cats at the start live in anatolia. i could be wrong. i only really know istanbul - ive been out into the countryside a few times but the most exotic thing i saw was a tortoise.

this is about the longest and most resource intense video it is possible to create in 2024 with an 80 euro per month professional tier subscrption, so i guues that covers most youtubers, as it uses almost a day's allocation of video creation time - i asked chat gpt how long this would have taken to render etc on a year 2001 iMac and the answer was - several centuries, probably.
