Diesels in Selçuk (Old-school TCDD)
A trip I took to Selçuk as a kid, with my Dad. Back during a time when Diesels pulled classic express trains south of Izmir, before those god-awful DMUs took over. I really wish TCDD would bring diesel trains back down south.
Also shown is Selçuk station, before it was rebuilt and electrified.

I grabbed these as soon as I saw them. Can confirm only the coaches showed up, but the Rens do look oh so good behind my F40PH's. Looking forward to the sleepers once they're uploaded.
I tried to find the Ren sleepers/transition cars but the link only took me to the Ren coaches, any help you can give? very nicely designed though

It is relatively uncommon for the Chiefs to meet at the Lamy siding. It is worth noting it is absolute block signaling on this siding, so the conductor has to get off and hand line the switch it enter the siding.
Don't want to nitpick too hard here, but it would have been more accurate to use BR MK4 coaches instead of MK3's, as that's what the Renaissance coaches are based off of.

Is the new switch CTC enabled? The last time this happened to me in 2021, they hand lined the switch. I'm pretty sure the searchlights were still there.

What stops hobos from living in those tunnels?
There is not a lot of space inside those tunnels and given that trains frequently pass by at 60 MPH, it would make staying there very dangerous.
Great animation. Sad that most of the railway was built in the single-party period of the republic. Wish other governments prioritized railway construction too.
Thanks. Yes, it is a shame the the railways were greatly neglected after the 1940s. There is some investment today, but it is no where near enough. Cheers!
