The way I (Tim) look at it is, 8 medium and 8 deeps are the same number of frames and the same with 10 frames. The difference is gonna be the number of bees and weight in honey with frame size. Ultimately, I think most go with what so and so told them back in 1999 and they follow that road. And often don't have an open mind to someone else's proven results. Y'all don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with an opinion but turning it into a fuss just to try and prove ones self "correct" us another. Both ways have been working just fine for years, one should do what's easiest for them and their operation.

I'd say they are more, not more difficult or less. I'd think just more mediums. So many beekeepers don't realize you don't have to go through the complete hive when you read the individual indicators. As soon as I learnt that my inspections sped up a great deal. Blessed Days Keith... I'm doing the same inspections myself, now with me it's just in singles this year but next season maybe different. I wish I had a Fall flow like so many of you all.

Keith it sounds like you done real good. Don't blame you for not wanting to change things. My advice is don't let your numbers get to high or will become a job. You are at that tipping point. LOL
