How to find and listen to podcasts
Просмотров 175 лет назад
When I launched the Facebook page of my podcast, "Spend It Like You Mean It," several people asked me how to listen. They didn't know they had an app in their phone, or that they could listen online, or in the case of my parents, what a podcast even was. I posted this very basic tutorial for those who were too embarrassed to ask. If you're not already familiar with podcasts, here's a little tut...
Zaida’s Training: 13-1/2 weeks “A Very Good Girl!”

We haven’t been to a class yet-everything I do is from reading. After finding an article, linked below, on German Shepherd puppy biting, it became clear that this Boxer German Shepherd mix has a lot of her daddy in her! The article suggests Hand Target training (here I do “touch” like Kat Martin at Dogs Kat in Nashville) to reduce Zaida’s desire to nip at my hands. After a couple days, she’s le...

Our neighbors left their ball in our yard when playing with Zaida, so I thought she’d enjoy playing with it, but meh.

Puppy learns the Busy Buddy: Zaida at 12 weeks

I have been told these puzzles will help Zaida expend some energy, so this is day two of her learning how to use the Busy Buddy for her dinner. She’s getting better about “leave it!” too, since she usually isn’t allowed on the carpet, but this toy won’t turn over on the tile floor.

Zaida has grown! Compare her to her size at 7 weeks (ruclips.net/video/P2JdwVfYSRc/видео.html) and be amazed at how fast she blossomed. She’s really getting better at bite-inhibition, but she has some work to do.
Zaida and the Potty Bell: 10-1/2 weeks

I taught Zaida, the Boxer/German Shepherd puppy, how to use a puppy bell. Something about that bell, though: she ripped it off the wall three times!

Puppy versus toilet brush: 10 weeks

Zaida the Boxer/German Shepherd puppy had never been in my basement bathroom, but she had to hang out while I did laundry. She made sure to protect me from the evil toilet brush.

As with “Puppy versus Beet” (ruclips.net/video/ax_94R_ltH8/видео.html), Zaida the Boxer/German Shepherd puppy does not know what to do with a bit of cucumber I shared.

I gave Zaida, the Boxer/German Shepherd puppy, a COLD cooked beet slice, but you’d think I gave her a fire cracker. She had no idea what to do with it.

Dan Marino and Jon English Practice Pass Technique

Dan Marino and Jon English Practice Pass Technique
IDK, kinda boring.
Notice how Marino doesn't bring the ball back very far before he throws it. No one has been able to duplicate that throwing motion. It created problems for defenders because the was no wind up, just the ball coming out with a high velocity and deadly accuracy,
That's not how Marino threw in the pros.
Look how fast Marino releases the ball, The defense doesn't have time to adjust...His Dad taught him keep the balk high the throw.
jon was all elbows.
Who's Jon English ?
In this video Marino uses the sideways cross step drop back but later he switched to backwards drop back
Eng-LISH! Eng-LISH! Eng-LISH!
I’ll take Marino any day
The most famous Jon English: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_English RIP
Where is the left-handed guy for political correctness?
That doesnt look like Marino ?? Face doesn't look right
Course it is, that is how he looked in college.
@@dasparado he looked like he had acromegaly
Marino was THE MAN. He has some bounce in these drops. Not quite the quick release at this point, but its neat to see the mechanics in slow motion.
Big attitude in a little bundle ... my cat has multiple toilet brushes the she loves to be brushed with. Her mom was feral, the lady thst rescued pregnant mom raised the kittens in a bathroom... Here's my kitty from the litter in action 😆 ruclips.net/video/CojsSrb1cT4/видео.html
Marino stops his body - or blocks - at the end. Other guy keeps following through. The block - hard stop - makes the ball jump out. Following through means less energy is transferred to the thrown implement.
This is 100% correct. Rapid deceleration (hard stop via blocking) leads to a slingshot effect on the ball. Great stuff!
All the comments from the Joes 😂
Love to see video of Marino's HS days...He was famous in HS, read about him in NY Times when I was a little kid...
the* NY Times
Better foot work, better arm, faster release, watch Marino and the footwork stays on this toes so smooth
This is awesome. Great stuff 👍Thanks for posting !
This Joe English is gonna be a star. I don't know about this.....ugh David Marini guy.....
know* about
Ironic
Marino in SLOWMOTION 😂
Marino has a better field of vision downfield as he finishes his drop with shoulders square to LOS and has the ball high enabling a quicker release and notice the ball does not rotate backwards during loading phase. The ball is able to be released quicker due to his rotation at torso and limited antebrachial rotation. This is an important technique to learn for HS and College because QBs need to release quickly at this level as they typically only have 3 seconds between snap and release.
Also notice (over the camera view) Danny’s jaw tension - the lack there of actually...just like Jordan!!!
Actually, this is just practice and Dan clearly didn’t hold the ball high like this - that’s complete crap and HATE when high school coaches teach this shit. No one in the pros do that shit. The guys with the highest velocity’s hold it below sternum - just watch Brady and Rogers. Rogers actually used to be taught that crap in college and thank god corrected it in the pros. You get more torque on the ball when holding it lower.
does* that
Preach!
Hold on... this is just practice??
Too low is bad. Too high is bad. Goldilocks. The velocity is in the hips. Read to throw time is in the hold height and efficient motion. I hate the dip.
Very cool video...you could see where Danny got his super quick release from...he carries the ball right at his ear like his Dad taught him...also people forget how mobile Danny was when he first came out of college...he had some MLB offers to play short stop so he was very mobile until his knees kept getting scoped and then of course his torn Achilles left him pretty much one legged.
He was a running QB till the knee injury. Just think if he had John Elway mobility with his quick release and accuracy
Steve Fowler Actually, his Dad never taught ‘Danny’ to carry the ball at his right ear. He taught him to release the ball from the right ear - Big difference. This is clearly a look for the camera. If you actually watch what he does in game time, then you actually know he holds the ball at the sternum and after ‘86, he actually held the ball well below the sternum. You don’t need to hold the ball high for a quick release and if anything, only inhibits the amount of torque you can generate. Another thing is we hear coaches say to use their elbows in a flaring movement in the drop back to have the momentum get you back faster. Not only does this look ridiculous, taught, robotic, and careless, but we see how ‘Danny’ doesn’t do this, and is extremely efficient in his movements - yet drops back faster than English and gets in out of his hand (every time) than English. Geez, hard to tell who was going to be a hall of famer and who was going to spend the rest of their life blaming wrong place at the wrong time on why they completely bombed at the collegiate level. This video also makes it appear that Jon English was a backup to Marino at Pitt - this is utterly untrue. Jon English was a quarterback at Allegheny college at this time and his dad was a coach for Pitt where he pulled strings to be able to get extra practice time with Marino only. He bounced around from College to college, blaming circumstances everywhere along the way for his inabilities.
When you consider that he was the greatest QB to ever play the game - and what he could do - I'm not sure mobility would have added much as nothing really needed to be added to his game. What desperately DID need to be added was a real offensive line (out side of Dwight Stephenson), a running game, a defense that was even average as opposed to hideous, any kind of deep threat at WR after Duper and Clayton retired or when they weren't playing, an offensive co-ordinator who did not just depend on Marino's greatness but could come up with an offensive scheme that actually got guys open (like Montana, Manning, Brady and Rogers had /have) and someone at player personnel who could actually have drafted some real players during the Marino era (as opposed to Shula's horrendous draft record after Bobby Beathard stupidly was booted).
Tony Thanks for the breakdown on all the events of this video. And thanks for synopsis of my travels. Don't know if I ever blamed anything on anyone [other than my own poor choices] and surely am not doing so now. Facts speak for themselves. And Yes did I "make it". You are 100% correct, nope sure did not. Did I have the ability to do so..yes sure did [as you yourself say it's hard to tell.] And if you're Tony Eason the fine QB . I think I will leave your football comments alone. At the time this video was shot Dan had the quickest release of any QB I had ever seen. Also before he was hurt he turned and "ran" in his drop back, also the 1st guy I ever saw do this. He and I worked out quite a bit in the off season and This was his natural throwing motion at the time of this video. He was not just "doing this for the camera" Also one other thing.. My dad was a fine coach and did not "have to pull strings" for me to come work out with Dan. But I do appreciate your breakdown ..mostly correct except Allegheny did not have a football team when I attended there.
@@tonyeason7900 yeah I was wondering why hes being referred to as "danny" lol
Great video!
