Originally issued on Family Productions Records with distribution by Paramount/Dot Records. Because the original had the songs recorded at the wrong speed, with the original clocking in at 2:36, while the reissue on Columbia with the correct speed clocks in at 2:51, the album bombed when originally issued. Columbia Records later solved the problem in 1982 by reissuing the album with the correct speed and some slightly different arrangements.

thanks so much for uploading this. i'd really love to get my hands on the carnegie hall show from 77, they re-released it in 2019, but it's still like 100$ or more. Do you have any recommendations for amazing billy joel live vinyls? i prefer the 70s stuff. but up to early 80s is pretty great too. liberty devitto, richie cannata, doug stegmeyer, a fantastic core of musicians.
