The Picts inhabited this northern part of Britain for thousands of years, yet today we know little about them. Looked really nice... Might even have felt fairly homely, looking at it. I never got to Croatia back when I was prone to wandering off. I kept wandering all over Europe and assorted bits , but Croatia was a bit 'off the itinerary'. It was still Soviet bloc and those buggers were oddly awkward with folk who wandered over their borders. Lovely looking country ...

    Good to see you back , and back at it . But ... wherever you may roam with your fancy 'Swedens and Croatias' don't you go forgetting you have some of the planet's greatest perfection just on your 'doorstep'. I love the scenery you slotted into your old vids. As you know myself and the B'craft show 'parted ways' a few years back ( 'it' still owes me for a ticket they messed up , sods), but I still watch the films others take there. I have watched a few and have to say it looks far more sparsely attended both in attendee footfall, and trader presence. Fair amount of drone footage over the last few years , that and the walkabout films made it look way down. Have to smile now they are mad keen to incorporate youtubers into it. I suggested that to them years back and it got the cold shoulder :) I didn't even get to Edale even this year . Bit of a mishap and an associated hiccough on the 'health' front. Never mind, intend trying to make the 'prepper' meet at Ardley . Hope you and the girls are well ... Take care... Will watch with interest ...

    Full on respect to the Lady McG'... Absolute respect . I have set my target for this year to get my lass out in a tent this year as a gentle 'starter for ten'... I always enjoy the views in your vids Billy ... Which meets are you targeting this year (if any). Edale or Ardley/Church Farm 'preppers' likely to feature in your itinerary ? Or will you be sticking to the BcShow ?

    • @56.4degreesnorth
      @56.4degreesnorth 7 лет назад

      DustyPilgrim1 thanks will. Only doing the one meet this year, the bcshow but only for two days and staying in a hotel this year, worked out a lot cheaper that a weekend camping ticket.. I'm off to Sweden in September on a canoe expedition so saving my pennies.

    • @Dustypilgrim1
      @Dustypilgrim1 7 лет назад

      Should have got day tickets for Sat/Sun/Mon ( or combination thereof) and camped at Edale meet . That was a fiver per night per person , last year , and only just over an hour away. Either that or broken your journey (outward/return) at Edale , saved a night(s) hotel bill. Sweden sounds good. I think Mike Smith and BeardedClam are heading Sweden's way this year at some point.

    Thanks for the vid. Looking at this for water desalination. Not so much for coffee because the whole perculator process overheats the coffee to bitterness. The soak / french press method is more to my taste. Thinking I will have to also carry a copper tube loop to connect to the nozzle for steam cooling. Will experiment.

    "Macbeth shall never vanquished be, until Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinane Hill Shall come against him." Aye... and , of course strategic use of effective camouflage proved to be the MacBeth's undoing.I agree about the bloody pylons as well. When i could still go a'wandering I use to become convinced they were like a bloody Stephen King film I saw once where they marched across the landscape. It felt as though the damn things followed me or tried to overtake me , curse them. More great scenery... You really can't bloody turn round up there but you get a face full of that scenery stuff can you ? Agree on the Bushcraft show Billy. I felt it was far, far better than last years'. I really go to meet-up with people rather than the events etc, so i hope we can get the 'youtube' numbers back up as I felt they were very, very, reduced this time. Great to see you and the girls. Look forward to next years', as it sounds like there will at least be me and you three ...
