Well, the creepy creatures from higher up in the No Man's Wharf (the Darkstalkers) are afraid of fire, and are much easier to deal with if you have a torch equipped. I don't want to spoil anything for you, so I'm not going to go into specifics, but keep in mind that there are other areas in this game where a torch might be helpful in various ways. It's more than a gimmick item in ds2, which is why they bothered to make a whole new mechanic for it with timers and everything, to make it more awkward to use. Also, there's a consumable item called the Flame Butterfly that lets you light up a torch anywhere without a bonfire.@@Imperfectbeingz

I am paranoid. Everytime i leave an enemy alive i find him following me across the entire game and trapping me in some corner, but i am used to die and then skip them in any souls. I realize there is no escaping from enemies in this one

@@AtreyusNinja i am far from complaining. i complain in a comical way (not serious) which may appear as me hating the game, but i am not hating it, the opposite, i am loving it!

I laughed after you told me. Why would they put such thing in the beginning?? I just say yes to every covenant in all souls because i felt like It did not matter. I will keep this covenant until i say "yes" To another random one

@@Imperfectbeingz Covenant of Champions is useful for grinding for souls or equipment, since it'll allow enemies to infinitely reset after resting at bonfires. Otherwise enemies will disappear after about 20-30 kills. Plus there's a ring useful for unarmed builds if you grind invader kills. And there's an easy npc invasion in Grave of Saints to farm the tokens needed to get the ring.

Makes sense. After all i really like Ds1 but i also hate it. With these games it's always a love and hate relationship

@@Imperfectbeingz Same here, especially with Elden Ring. I have such a Love/Hate relationship with that game it could be borderline abusive XD Seriously, and I’m not the only one, I have had just as many issues with ER as I did with DS2, even experiencing similar glitches.

No game is perfect as we know, but as long as a game gives us more positive energy than negative we will always come back or suggest it to others

@@Imperfectbeingz only joking haha, I only believe that hitboxes are bad at the beginning of the game, when you don't even have 1 lvl in adp haha

@@CumGames Fortunately i did not have much struggle with that. i learned from these games to not panic and try to dodge at the last second, but i still suck

​@@Imperfectbeingz Minor clarification - 99 agl is one of the breakpoints. 105 agl is another good breakpoint, but it requires a fair bit of investment to get just one more 1-frame over 99. Also, ATN provides some agl as well, so if you intend to level ATN, you won't need as much ADP.

@@MrMrjaymz I am going with ADP and so far it's going great. i am guessing if i have low agility i would have to perfectly time my dodges? in that case i am confident i won't be needing too much agility, but it might just be me being overconfident. Thank you for the clarification, i really appreciate any help

I am happy you like the series and i aim to finish it, just like i aim to start Dark Souls 2 since i tried many Years ago, but did not understand the game so i left it after 20minutes of walking in cycles
