How so when it is the free gift of God through His LOVE,GRACE, and Mercy> Even so, there is no one I admire more than Brennan Manning and wish he was still with us so that I could let him know how much I admire his lectures, talks, and his wonderful Books!!!

    Man! Brennan died several years ago, so need to ask: Brennan how'd you get hold of my mail to read? Settlers lives are rooted in fear, so we must ask them: do you believe in life before death?

    I accepted Jesus into my life at the age of 11. I'm 44 now, and I love Brennan's preaching because I can relate to him so much. Today, I'm trying so hard to accept God's love as infinite and not based on my performance.

      Becoming a Christian doesn't make you perfect. While our sin is forgiven, we still fall to it. Which is part of the beauty of God. He loves us in our brokenness.

      You think Christians cannot have addictions? What a strange thing to think.

    • @lucianomengelle3169
      @lucianomengelle3169 Месяц назад

      Even having the Holy Spirit, we can get discouraged, depressed, angry and troubled in so many ways. I guess it's not theoretically possible, but it happens in real life to broken people. Of course it means we turned our sight to another direction and chose to see circumstances instead of believing God and listening to His voice, but we are human and even the Holy Spirit doesn't force us. He uses even those tough circumstances and the pains, and the consecuences of mistakes and addictions to take us closer to His heart and teach us to trust Him wholy. Hope it makes senses to you. Cheers.

    Isaiah 43:1-5 Ephesians 2:6-10 1 John 4:16-19 Psalm 103 I ask you to spend twenty minutes with these four passages and I want you to do this silently and alone. God gives himself to you completely only in silence and in solitude. In Psalm 103 it says God loves those who fear Him. Remember the biblical meaning of fear of the Lord. Silent wonder, radical amazement and affectionate awe, at the infinite goodness of God. And let me close with this blessing written by my spiritual director in New Orleans Larry Hein: May all your expectations be frustrated May all your plans be thwarted May all your desires be withered into nothingness That you may experience the powerlessness and poverty of a child And sing and dance in the love of God Who was Father Son and Spirit. Amen

      @spooky.pup.charlotte God when he looks at us in love see's the finished work. He see's the image of God in us, the Christlikeness. This he wants us also to see. When we believe that he see's us that way and believe it. We begin on our journey of reliying on him to help us with his Grace empower us to walk right in his sight. Learning a new and living way of life which is no longer self-centered but God centerd.

    I really need to understand why no one I know has ever once felt this. Compassion is who God is, yet why don't I feel loved? Maybe I just need to give voice to my inner pain of being unloved.

    • @DarthTwilight
      @DarthTwilight 7 месяцев назад

      That certainly needs to be explored. Your view of God needs to be corrected. He not only loves you (because God IS love, and couldn't be Himself if He didn't love you UNCONDITIONALLY) but...He LIKES you. The Wisdom of Tenderness by Brennan Manning is a really good book for exploring this. So is The Blessing of Brokenness by Charles Stanley. God is relational. Religion misses this by a country mile. Religion says "do this," and there's never an end to doing. God, however, says "Be with Me. I want to enjoy your company, and want you to enjoy Mine. Trust me. I not only love you no matter what, but I ENJOY you."

    This is why no one will ever know God until the moment of death. I believe this is so, but god keeps this part of himself hidden except to a very few. For the moment every single person felt this, they would fall at his feet, cry my lord and my savior. But he doesn't and he won't. So until we are ready for death we will never feel this. And this is the sadness of this world.

    This is the huge message of the day! God is LOVE! Receive His love. Not once but continually. Once you experience God’s Love then keep yourself in it! Jude 21 It’s NOT about religion which is just another club, another ditch. It’s about experiencing God’s Love, His presence. Not mentally nor theologically but in Truth. He created us for relationship. Surrender to it, receive it.

    It is commendable that brother Brennan publicly confessed his poor choice of behavior toward those boys, and it was nice that he asked for forgiveness, but he did not legitimately apologize - he never once said he was sorry for his action.

    • @christopherchristopher706
      @christopherchristopher706 Год назад

      it’s funny how you commend him, then condemn him with your self-righteous judgement of the quality of his apology. God notices his act of humility so much more than you actually give credit to. You who are invited to come to His table, daring to condemn another, should go eat outside, until you have learnt some table manners.
