    I'm a slow walker, I use the walk for meditate

  • @MollanPollzan
    @MollanPollzan 19 дней назад

    I don’t know if i have adhd, but i find the first one quite annoying really. I’m not a fast walker but i want to walk in my own pace and i just hate it when others are just so slow that even a snail can catch up 🙄 The third one i can totally relate to. All. The. Time. The second one is ”meh” to me. I’ll just roll with it and figure out what else i can do that really need to be done. I just try to think of a plan B incase someone doesn’t show up. But i totally get it if you are for instance, going to the cinema. Can’t really cancel that if one has already bought the tickets.

    1. No, not really. I know my mind wants to go fast, so I try to slow down from time to time and when something like that happens I take it as a gift. :D But that is trough actually wanting to slow down, even though it feels hard. 2. Depends: I’f it was something at work or a little unpleasant I will be very relieved. If it was a friend I might be a bit sad, but I love to be alone, so I’m okay with that mostly. 3. Yup … that’s me. I got ADD, not ADHD.

    I am so encouraged by this video although it 6 years old. My son is high functioning and is 11 now. I am continuous teykng to figure it all out for my son. This is our first year home schooling, and it does get lonely in all of this but it’s going well!

    I 100% don’t have this problem if you’re not in front of me and I want you to be I will not sleep until you’re there or I’ve gone through a whole healing process and move on which can take a long time or a couple days .. and that’s as far as a special relationship such as like a boyfriend or a best friend or whatever it’s is. And that’s not to say even a person that I necessarily am even around every day. As of just normal interactions with people in general I seldom forget anyone at all in fact the opposite. I remember every single detail of most every encounter we’ve had together.

  • @adairdella3210

    Omg the slow walking 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ like no no no sir. Mooooooove already. And depends on what they’re canceling on. If it’s something I dreaded in the first place I’d silently celebrate but if it was something I was looking forward to I’d be so devastated I’d be inside of my head destroyed about it for a long time however, say I looked forward to it for a very long time and it wasn’t going well I may also have the ability to sabotage it with my hyper focus on the events I probably planned inside my head while anticipating every second of the night for months in advance. So you may be saving yourself a hard time by cancelling on me. Lastly if you’re talking slow 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ like you’ve lost me because my mind has moved on to now focusing on everything that is surrounding you every detail of what you’re wearing and I’m mentally redoing your hair at the same time… ughhh.

    All of these things. Some slow walkers are people who have disabilities that may not be evident, and it hurts their feelings when people charge past them. That said, I try to be gentle about it and not too obvious, but I would still try to pass them or get around them if I could. I also prepare all day for any appointment or whatever that I have. I’m always relieved when it’s canceled, though, so I don’t have to go. I don’t care if it’s even something fun that I really wanted to do. I’ll still be relieved if it’s canceled. But I’d also be a bit irritated, especially if it was something I *didn’t* want to do, because I geared up to get through this difficult think like a medical test or something, and now I’m going to have to do it all over again on another day.

    I had these pretty regularly as a kid, and the experience was exactly what you describe. I would just stand there frozen. It felt like I had to let a bunch of half-processed stimuli find where they wanted to go in my brain before I could do anything--no active thinking or doing. Like you, I couldn't talk in this state--not at all. I was simply too "far away." In college I asked my mother why she hadn't ever dealt with the fact that I had mental problems. She said that when I would stand there frozen it was disturbing, but since I did well in school, she figured I was normal enough. I stopped having shutdowns once I left home. When I felt one coming on, I'd leave whatever situation I was in, no matter what, and find someplace quiet to hang out. That always works for me. I guess I still have "mini-shutdowns" occasionally, but never more than five to ten seconds long. It is definitely related to confusion and overstimulation.

      Easy way to put it is like this: You tell a robot to press 1, then tell them to do it again, then again, then again until you've asked them one thousand times. You get a thousand 1s. Vs You tell a robot to press 1 a thousand times with a single command that you repeat maybe a few times before they get it. Both ways get you the same result. Just that one needed the instructions over and over but the other one needed the instructor to think about it less. Now apply this same logic to everyday life. You're the instructor and your body is the robot. Waking up, brushing your teeth, maybe you eat something, going to class/work. Some people think about doing these things as they're doing them. Others do them without even thinking about it and their minds focus on other things.

    • @byronmccall1554
      @byronmccall1554 6 месяцев назад

      @@asahi7407 I can't tell if it's a nice gesture or if you meant to be insulting by thinking you had to explain this to me. I meant I'm with her in that I have to actually think about it while I'm doing it. I can't think about the next thing until I'm done with the one thing. Even though I know in my head what the next thing is. But if I think about the next thing while I'm doing the one thing I will forget to finish the one thing. So I must concentrate on what I'm doing in the moment before moving on. And while I know I can multitask at a lot of different things at a lot of different times, at none of the things I'm doing am I completely mindless of it. I don't understand people that are unaware enough to the point where they put things like then gay on their toothbrush. How is anyone that unaware of what they're doing right now? That is what I don't get.
