However, I tried multiple times to prioritize the groups attached to the OH group. CO₂ has the second priority, and the other carbon group has the third priority. That means we have an R configuration. So, shouldn’t we have the Si face in this case?
Yes, you are right. They have just focused on Re and Si face concept and accordingly the absolute configuration is incorrect. It should be S but absolute configuration is R. I might make another video on this topic for better clarification and understanding with some other examples!

It is a good question. Molecule 3 is also chiral although it does not have an actual chiral centre. The overall molecule is chiral, as carbon joining two rings is sp3 hybridzed. It falls in category of other chiral molecules (without chiral centres) like allenes, cummulene, biphenyl. This type of molecule like c is called spirane.

XeF8 only exists as an anion, right? Because a XeF8 molecule would suffer too much steric tension. Oxygen (having two free spaces to receive electrons) can completely oxidize xenon since there would be 4 oxygen atoms and therefore there would not be as much steric tension as in fluorine.
Yes you are right, Xe can form maximum of 8 sigma bonds to form XeF8, which then react with F- to form XeF8- and not neutral XeF8.
