I am one of those people that was stuck with my fiance in Indonesia (we were missionaries ) and we were suppose to get married in SA (PE) that December after Corona broke out . Both my finance and I had no family , no friends and it was hard and still today I think about that and my heart is sad . Actually just last night I was awake thinking about it and then today while cooking I was listening to this testimony (how crazy ) !! Also when I fell preggy the Lord told us our season as missionaries was over and I moved to my husbands country (Mexico ) last 3 years - sooo tough ( no friends , no family , no English etc ) Jesus has worked so much in me !!!

Wow what a hard testimony to share !! It spoke to me in so many ways about my own testimony !! You were so brave and I am so thankful for that - you are bringing glory to Jesus and sharing of his goodness and love for you both ! I am also so thankful for the people that surrounded you with the heart of Jesus (Jesus smiles over those people and I know he is so proud of each of them being his hands and mouthpiece in your lives ) !!! Love it !!!! He is our redeemer and rescued you both from shame and darkened and so much more !!

Through it all, they have a personal testimony. Not just about loss, but about life in Christ. Important highlights for me were: Ruth said she had to "take her grieving thoughts captive, to the obedience of Christ." Darryl makes sure his testimony isn't about their loss of their dear son, but it is about lifting up the name of Jesus. This precious couple attended our home group in Texas and I know them to be faithful and loving. I am honored to know them and our church is privileged to help support their ministry.

Tough story/heartbreaking, but Darryl and you did great.. You are both very strong. Do you know what is interesting on the timing of the podcast? Back in 2008, Father's Day landed on the 16th when Jeremy passed away and, again yesterday, landed on the 16th. I know Father's Day is always on the 3rd Sunday in June, but I find it interesting. Darryl, you are so right. There are no words to say in situations like this.❤❤
