Why is this in my feed. I don't care about people talking about talking to people with kids and they don't have kids. Why is there a monologue. Wtf???

The happiest people I know are all childfree. My best friend has a baby, and she confessed to me one night that it has ruined her life. Children ruin everything. They ruin your body, your finances, your sex life, your career, your hobbies, your home and your mental health.

Its so wierd when they say they dont have custody like its a positive thing. Im child free, but even if i wanted kids that would be SO SUSPICIOUS. In my country the default agreement is 50/50 so wtf did he do to lose custody of those kids??? I would be demanding to see court documents

There is a difference between saying you don't want men with children or you don't want children. If you don't want to have children, most men wouldn't even want to be in a relationship with you anyway. But if you dont want men with children, that's just your relationship standard.

I had noticed the unplanned pregnancy problem ten years ago and would ask myself how these children would fare in life… 60% teen pregnancy is sad, that’s not taking into account the women in their 20‘s whose boyfriends ditch them when they fall pregnant… If you ask me, being childfree is more logical in today’s world. Having children is more about instinct, societal pressure, etc. and no thought is given about the future circumstances of the child who is being brought into the world… Sad Much love from Perth!

This is refreshing. I don’t live in SA anymore and it’s good to see someone from my generation back home who understands my view… Over here 🇦🇺 it’s somewhat normal to not have children. In fact, I had my vasectomy done in Cape Town a few months before I left SA.

I am a man just turned 40. Never married, no kids. Been caring for my ailing father, don’t have time to start a family to appease outsides in society.

I’ve been married and raised 3 kids with a husband and father in the home but not helpful. I love my kids and I do not regret them. Women have worked so hard to earn the right to choose their own path. I applaud and support women who want to choose what is best for them. We all make life choices and we all must eat the fruits of those choices. As an adult, you live with them. It doesn’t make you bad or wrong to choose differently.

As a mother, I salute you young women. Don't listen to these pick me's and religious nut jobs about your regretting it, you will not. My sister is child free, she is 48 and happy. My aunt was child free, and lived a wonderful life, doing what she loved and wanted to do. stop having these low lives babies, being married will not save you from being a single mother, and being a single mother with no support is hard ( they don't want to pay child support, and they don't want to take the kids), plus you risk your life having children, they never mention how dangerous pregnancy and childbirth can be, to both the mother and the baby. They just want you to have babies to grow up and be workers to fund these rich corporations. Don't sacrifice your life based on what other people think or their personal experiences, some of them say they regret it, but the majority, absolutely do not regret it. Also, if you are one of the ones saying you regret not having children, then why don't you go and adopt some, there are plenty of unwanted babies needing homes.

Well let me put my 2 peanuts in here. Is NOT a choice that you will be proud qnd be happy later. I mad the choice because I didn’t want to go through all the assisted reproductive procedures more than 3 times. Was nerve wrecking and my husband, now in GOD’s rest, was feeling it. So I made the choice! Now at 48 yrs old I regret it with all my heart!! Don’t illude yourselves with all the words I read in the comments so far or by this girl’s. Having your child, raising them, being a mother is the most precious and beautiful gift you are denying yourself. Don’t do it!!! I have met many women in my position, they all have regretted this choice, we all are in a group to become foster parents. I’m a mother and I love it, yet I fully endorse this message! 😂 I chose to have my baby with a wonderful man, after we married and AGREED to plan for the pregnancy and our parenting approach. If I hadn’t met him, I would still be living my best healed, childfree life, with zero pressure to have kids just because society says so! I agree 100% with bringing less traumatised children into the world.

I'd never head generational trauma called a "generational curse" before but yeah, there is so much bad stuff we pass on to other people and stuff that makes us miserable that our kids will have to grow up with if we don't recognize it and try to work on first. People all over the world take part in alloparenting (adults helping other adults raise their kids). If every single adult were responsible for their own children, we wouldn't have enough human effort to help raise kids because they need multiple adults, not just their parents, to grow up well. If you think that would lead to a dramatic decrease in population, remember that there are parents who still want to have 3+ kids. So there is even more reason to let childless adults choose to be child-free, to help other families out and take care of other community-oriented tasks that parents might not have as much time to devote toward. As a so-far childless adult approaching 30, I enjoy putting my time into making my community a better place for both myself and for families to live in (ecological restoration mostly, plus some bicycle-friendly advocacy and playing music)
