Does Aim Training REALLY Work? | The start of my aim training journey
Does aim training really work? I've had this question for quite some time now and i finally decided to dedicate time myself for one month to answer the question myself instead of just going off of what other people online say. In this video im documenting my journey through the month of aim training and answering the long asked question in the gaming community of if aim training is really worth it or not.

The Phantom Buff Brought A Tear To My Eye.
Просмотров 325Месяц назад
The new Phantom buff in Valorant almost made me cry tears of joy. I've always loved the phantom, but never used it because i was sick and tired of getting 140 headshots and losing to a Vandal. Now with the new buff you can 1 shot people from slightly further away, and it has less fall off damage. It's most definitely a stretch to say I'll never see a vandal in my hands again but i can for sure ...
The Arcane bundle is amazing.

I've seen a lot of opinions thrown around about the Arcane bundle since it's release and most of what I've seen has been people saying that they don't like the gauntlets of the bundle and some people even saying they think they missed the mark on Vandal. Me personally though, I will defend the bundle until my last breath. It may be because i became an Arcane fanboy after binging the series in o...
Mental is everything.

Your mental in Valorant, in my opinion is one of the best things you can work to improve. You can't control your teammates and sometimes you may have off games, but if your mental is strong enough you can always at the very least play your best and work towards winning the game. Trying to keep your teammates mental up is something different entirely and admittedly more often than not it wont be...

Change doesn't happen over night. This is something I've had to re-learn while trying to achieve the goal i have for myself of finally breaking through the gold/plat threshold ive been stuck at for so long on Valorant. After losing a few games of comp in a row i felt like the hours i was putting into aim training wasn't paying off and that it was all for nothing. The following day, i remembered...

Is it always possible to improve? In this series, I'm trying to answer that question. I've been hard stuck gold and plat in pretty much every competitive fps games I've played for my entire time playing them. Knowing that there's various aspects i can improve in these games like my aim, ability usage and overall game sense makes me feel like there has to be a way to break through the ranked thr...

This is more disheartening for me I just hit ascendent in voltaic. Vt micropace . I maxed it out at immortal i was like “holy crap” and i think thats what jumped me to ascendant overall my dm’s feel better but suck cause i face ascendants and 1-2 immortals Which is fine. But people tend to camp and sound abuse. But, royalG is training a bronze and he basically said “you wanna pit yourself in bad spots dm where you take above normal 3v1-4v1-5v1. And what not. Basically stating “you wanna over whelm yourself in worst situations so that you improve. Where in rank it will never be like that. Which will be easier for you to take engagements So far seems to work but…. Gold/plat is rough. I feel plat1 Where it separates real players from casuals
I’m stuck in bronze 3 I just broke three to silver I hope I can go up farther
Idk I play an hour of SpeedTS and feel it the next day 😂
I hope you find people to queue with, or to surround yourself with people of similar goals (growth as a player). Those are the ones that help you take things step by step, they help keep that flame of passion and motivation going so you can see that change you're aiming for.
I do have some friends that have similar goals to me so I’m lucky enough to already be surrounded by them. Definitely one of the best things to have.
@@MoralDWRwhat region do u play? Cause i just hit plat 2nd Time But did act 3 placement and back to gold All my games i had twi horrible players every game They would go 6-17 and what not Mean while i do decent or even
this is really what i needed, ive benn at an all time low recently and i want to improve and i know i can improve but it just doesnt happen that fast and thats why im put off the idea of training to get better. the reality is, as you said and reminded me of, change doesnt happen overnight! Thank you for this video, you deserve more subs honestly!
I really appreciate it that, it means a lot! And whatever it may be things take time to improve at from video games, to real life, to any aspect. Best of luck with whatever you do, stick with it long enough and you'll get where you want to be
I've been doing the V.D.I.M for 3 weeks now and it has definitely developed my aim holistically. I was not seeing any progress in my ranked games initially and was getting frustrated and asking the same question if there was a point or not. Seeing this video reinforced the fact that results do not immediately show up. Recovery is needed since you are training your muscles and neurons. Thanks for this video- I hope you keep grinding and gain higher peaks.
Thank you that means a lot! I hope the same for you, stick with it and I'm sure you'll see the results you're looking for.
I've been doing speedts and not only is it kinda enjoyable, but I've improve massively.

Honestly one thing I never understood is why people play aim trainers. Most of the times a duel is decided on who has better movement and crosshairplacement. Sure there are some people that can do fancy flicks but in 90% of cases this is not necessary to be capable of.
Aimtrainers dont just train raw aim, i mean they do but most importantly - target reading, technique, general awareness, spatial recognition, speed - these are all things and there are more that aim training covers and isolates while games train everything at once, but not in a controlled manner/environment. aim trainers in particular condense what is happening with movement and or aim (no gamesense here) into one or more scenario you can play day after day and even train your reactivity to match what youre doing, more consistently. aim trainers train consistency a lot. i mean just start a personal experiment, take a vod of you playing 2-3 games right now in valorant, aim train for at least 2-3 months and do that again
Its to improve mouse control im sure you’ve seen teammates when dead And it looks like there sense is SUPER HIGH Most likely not, they just have bad mouse control
According to voltaic, my aims silver but my current rank is asc 1. I used voltaic for a week and felt aim did approve it got me asc 2 and another acc to asc 1 but you also got to have game sense to rank up. I would keep training my aim but im just not motivated to aim higher
Holy, I am the exact opposite. 167 hours in valorant, this is my *first* ever shooter, I am gold III but when I tried aimlabs for the first time, I went on the benchmarks and I currently am at an ascendant level aim (40 points away from immortal, hitting radiant level scores in more than a couple of skillsets, especially those that need reflexes) So now, the thing is, do you have any suggestion for improving my gamesense? I'm all aim, no brain so I just cannot comprehend the things that the other team does when I play and that, alongside my teammates giving no comms and being the epitome of toxicity, is holding me back so hard because it breaks my mental. I main Reyna and Clove if you were wondering. Please guys in the comment section, I need help 🥺
Yeah i feel like aim and game sense go hand and hand. Only being good at one or the other i can imagine can hold you back for sure
@@KalyuGD727 I'm about the same level as you currently but from what I've heard from others and what's worked a bit for me so far is watching higher ranked players to see how they play. Also there's some people who do Valorant coaching you can watch on RUclips. I've been watching a lot of WooHoojin recently, and i feel like his videos help a lot and are easy to digest.
@@MoralDWR I mean I actually think I've seen quite a handful of coaching videos, drills, habits, protocols, you call it, but I can't translate that into my matches, is it a matter of time? Do I just have to put some more time? I mean man I am one game away from plat, I think I'm hopping into valorant right now to see how it goes 🥺🥺
I am now FINALLY platinum, I did a 4k on the first round and won that match, that was so easy man 😭 if you approach with a positive mindset and just win your duels it's pretty much done but silver and gold are way harder ranks than platinum/diamond only due to the fact that people don't know how to play hence making stupid decisions and they get away with them which is the worst part. I perform better in diamond lobbies than I do in silver lobbies.
Good luck man. Randomly found this. Best tip I’ve used to be around immortal in Val and very successful in other games. Find a nice 10-15 minute warmup, I usually use aim training and do a quick few drills to get everything warmed up then play and do your actual practice session at the end before you get off. Also consistency will win every time, make sure your routine is sustainable. Best of luck
Thank you for the advice i really appreciate it!
This is the terrors of warfare no soldier would want to be in this position I want to hear that zaaa from a German hand grenade you will run but you know you are not making it out of the war you might as well stand there until the grenade blows up you know you're not making out of that Island you know you are dead
What really helped me understand the game was in a sense treating it like homework. When I was new to valorant, I was obsessed with it, I would either play it or watch someone better than me play it. Spending time watching streamers is a surprisingly effective way to improve your game sense if you aren't watching solely for entertainment. I like watching eggster because he may not be the most entertaining, he is showing you how to play the game at a high level for free. Trying to figure out the right decision can be hard in a clutch moment so watching someone who has done it hundreds if not thousands of times can give you insight on something you would never have figured out on your own.
@@Glammorric i just started watching a lot more valorant RUclips videos and streams myself since I thought it would help. I’m Glad to hear it works, thank you for the advice
some tips to help you out: after valorant games hop on kovaaks/aimlabs and play through 1-2 playlists of stuff you want to train. it could be static shot for aiming quick on standing targets or dinamic shot for long range gun fights. (for dinamic I would rexomend to skip tasks with insane target speeds). you really want to focus on calm aiming. take your time to hit your shots, so your acrs is around 90%. when you feel comfortable speed up. for gamesence it can help to watch your own vods, but i know that most of people don't bother with that. basicaly just play the game a lot and try to think about why your enemy played like he did against you. also I would rexomend to focus on 2-3 agents that you want to play and learn them very well. hope this will help on your journey
btw forgot to say im just sharing what I was doing to get high immo 3. I see you have your own plan, so good luck on that. gonna be checking up on your vids
@@jackoman1914even with my own plan I really appreciate the advice still. Getting advice from people higher ranked than me was one of my hopes making this video so any advice helps. I’ll take everything you said into consideration and start implementing some of it like watching my vods, thank you.
what helped me the most in improving to get immortal from being hardstuck plat 2 was focusing on my aim while not in game ie; kovaaks, range, dms and then not thinking about aim in game. in game i would basically question myself after every death. "why did i die and how could i have gotten more value. or was that a good death" i would also constantly think of my positioning and wonder if where i am will get value. i also suggest not playing the same position every round. lastly, if you want to fill, learn 1 agent per role and stick to those even when you think you need flashes or something like that. a comp with 4 duelists and smokes is good enough to win even in high immo. anyways good luck on the grind man and remember to not get too bent out of shape 1 or 2 losses!
I appreciate the advice. i definitely struggle at times with overthinking my aim in game and other things like my value from my death, but its something i've been working on so seeing someone say it helped them gives me a lot of hope, thanks again!
@@MoralDWR keep at my guy!
kind of a side note but, Kayo is probably the hardest agent to get value out of if you're not familiar with him. So you can kind of treat him as an outlier and focus more on characters that fit your playstyle.
i see, sounds good thank you
