I have seen so many sisters in Christ be obedient with their freedom, but I'm praying that more men see this and seek God on renouncing and denouncing as well! God would not give me peace for 13 years. I finally got the courage to denounce from validation from a pastor. Within an instant of sending the letter, there was a huge lift. I was finally free of that weight. Glory be to God!

I guarantee the fraternity is not missing you at all. You were not born into it, you chose it but were not strong enough to sustain its merits, ideals or virtues. Many Alphas continue their submission to God and fraternal brotherhood.

I just crossed spring 24 and I never had to make an oath or pledge my allegiance to alpha. I took an oath to serve my community and to stand by my brothers no matter what. This had nothing to do with god or trying to steer me away from my religion. We always began everything and ended everything with a prayer. Yall out here doing weird ass shit. Yall just weren’t made for this and that’s okay. Yall can’t separate y’all’s religions from an organization that’s trying to help your community.

I think it's God honoring to say you feel it's sin for you but to say others are sinning by remaining in the organization is to commit sin by bending someone conscience. Please read Romans 14.

If God is convicting you or anyone of leaving the fraternity then by all means that your conviction. But there is nothing supernatural about any organization. Faith is personal. I am also a member of Alphi Phi Alpha. We had seven Brothers that started this fraternity in 1906. We are the first black fraternity started by seven brothers all of whom were believers of Christ Jesus with the accepting of One who was an Atheist. There was no Divine 9. There was no divine anything. Just a group a seven educated brothers who wanted to promote Godly deeds, fellowship and love for all mankind. All this other stuff that crept into the fraternity wasn't and is not the fraternity. My point is that just because you denounced the frat has no effect on your salvation because unless you have no other sin in your life you can be an active brother or a denounced brother and bust hell wide upon. Black fraternities is not the problem and has never been the problem. Sin was the problem and that' why the cross was so important. If you want to promote anything just Promote Christ and the cross and that will draw all men unto him. Not making a video on black fraternities, while leaving out white fraternities and other sins of which none of us can escape but by faith in Christ alone.

It is always confusing when members talk about "sin' and distraction from god and false idols but never have a problem with slavery, dietary sin, fabric sin, genocide, racism and sexual assault being okay in the bible. So you can't be a member of a frat that does community service but you don't have a problem with slavery?

I don't know you young brother, but want to say that I am proud of you for your humility and obedience to Word of God by the leading of Holy Spirit. You already BELONG to the family of God! That's also what turned me away as I was about a week or two into a pledging process. I had a vision of hell for these fraternity and sorority members It was AKA's but would apply to all of them. It was a room painted pink and green filled with all those who have passed on, and everyone had on pink and green. Room filled with pink and green balloons and candles. Everyone was repeating vows, and poems and stepping and singing off key with constant screeching and everybody's little finger was being held up but was about 12 inches long. All this was going on 24/7...for eternity. Women were moaning, screaming, groaning, and crying asking God for forgiveness for dedicating their lives, oaths and vows to pagan gods. Some women had their daughters with them who had been dedicated to the AKA in the womb before dedicating her to God. Sadly, it was too late. Renounce, denounce, repent while you can!

I went to a Sorority introduction gathering or meeting for new possible recruits. I remember sitting there listening to them and everything in me was an adamant NO. I didn’t like how they portrayed themselves. I didn’t like the boastfulness and how they were forcing out of pride but not love. Then, I heard the cost of it all. I sat through it because of my roommate but I already knew it was not for me. Only now I realize after my own walk with Jesus how He led me away from them because it wasn’t where I needed to be. If I had continued I would have missed alot of blessings Jesus had planned for me. Thank you for sharing your story to save others and also to remind those who walked away from it that they were correct in their decision. I pray Jesus continues to order your steps and provides you everything you need in this life. Bless you, Brother.

My spirit was showing something through these covenants. Being in environments and part of organizations through family, we will break all patterns of this world. I’m a member of Alpha but in no way did I go through the rituals thinking in any manner that I’m putting anything before God or take the songs that way. I think you took them too serious but none of that crossed my mind when I pledged, but hey to each it’s own
