    Hello David, a while ago I had a question and I would like if you can solve it, I know it was some time ago but do you remember how many millimeters or inches to adjust the height of the strings and the height of the pickups John used during the time you worked with him?

    Maybe a stupid question, but why does it matter if we have a locking tremolo? Isn't it its job to hold the strings tight on the neck?

    If anyone came here wondering if this works. Well shit, yes, it fucking works !! Mr. Dave Lee, thank you. You're a genius. It's the first time I try this technique but I've been playing for 3 days bending like there's no fucking tomorrow, with trembar abuse, dive bombing and "Jeff Becking" the shit outta my strat and stays in tune so nice. :') I use 10-46 Earnie ball Regular slinky, Eb tunning, 5 tremolo strings and I float my bridge like 2.5 mm btw Thank you, Dave.

    @MrDaveo98 How many trem springs did John use on his Strats?

    • @presinald
      @presinald 5 месяцев назад

      I think I recall seeing a pic where he uses three springs with them arranged parallel in slots 1,3,5. I do that with mine and the bridge decked and it's really stable and still easy to push down

    Hey Dave. Shoot me a message if you have time. Just wanted to see if you'd be interested in something regarding guitar tech chemicals and setting up a sponsorship of some sort. Havent' seen you since Klinghoffer, Rother and JF in 2005 and I thought of you when my buddy and I were casually talking products for a guitar kit. My buddy owns a chemical company that makes chemicals for electronics (also wicked solder, soldering braid etc).

    is that strictly nescessary with a locking nut? I bought a Jackson RR Flying V with a Floyd Rose Bridge and Locking Nut off Ebay once and it arrived with the headstock split into 3 pieces and dangling from the strings...unbelievably it was still perfectly in tune...the guitar you are restringing in the video seems to have a Locking Nut so is it just a bit of "Snake Oil"

    • @MrDaveo98

      No. I mention that in the video. This was not John's guitar. And John didn't use Floyds.
