Such true words!!!!!!!
Really cool, and beautiful. Thank you. God bless you and keep you in Jesus name. 🌟🌲🎁
I'm listening - isn't she wonderful? I've just found out that she came to fame with the big band of Tommy Dorsey (which she left in 1944) 🤔👍 One of my favourite female jazz singers. 🎉
😊 don't know this song, sounds a bit Scottish ? Most know her for ' Yu belong To Me' - (B4 my time but I'm familia with Th Duprees sophisticated 1962 cover)
Perfect diction as ever, amazing and captivating Jo Elizabeth Stafford. Who isn't overcome by that"Haunted Heart" feeling on hearing her voice😉👍
Sounds amazing on what I assume is an acoustic reproducer?
Yes it is thanks for the comments.
I enjoy listening to this song and the man's voice and the story part is pretty cool also.

Looks like a 12". (I only have 2 and both so old that they've only 1 side). The sound on this is wonderful!
Yes its a 12 inch. I have some one sided records also. A friend of mine finds a lot of 78 rpm records he pulls them out of the trash at flemarkets. This is the last record from the 130 records he had found and given me. My brother has more from his calection i will be back to recording soon. Thanks for commenting.

Alguien sabe de qué año es esa música. Suena muy bonita y alegre como para estar con la familia los domingos por las mañanas.
I found this info about this song Leave Me With A Smile. Recording Take Number. 1 ; Recording Date. 1922-01-27 ; Recording Location. Camden, New Jersey ; Recording. Thank You for commenting!
Nice looking and sounding gramophone 👏
Thank you i refinished it with Shellac and rebuilt the reproducer and replaced motor and governor springs. Bought it for 50 dollars and came with a box of 50 records. I replaced missing knobs and side crank bushing trim. It was not to bad doing all the work im very good working with my hands. I made a peice of the side trim that was missing with a chopstick and stained it to the right color. Thanks for commenting.

Thank you very much for playing these old records I am 63 old and never heard these songs before but they're great .
It brings me a lot of Joy to hear your comment. I am glad you enjoy this music. Its unbelievable how much music was made in the past that is all forgotten. I enjoy recording them and hearing most for the first time myself also. Im 65 years old myself. Thanks for commenting.

Thank You!
Les' band had a really cool swinging sound!
Agree!
Young Frankenstein 😀
LOL
I love this one Tony, I have a copy myself. This one sounds nice and clean too! I always find for a budget label, Bluebird records have held up well
I have this on a Decca but it sounds a little different to me. Beautiful gramophone!
Thank you very much i did all repairs and refinishing my self. Its a shame for the chunk out of the record it sounds very crisp and clean sounding. That is the first record im recording from 113 record trash bin find that friends of mine and my wife had given me. Very many nice records. Thanks for commenting. Im going to now listen to my this evening recordings.
@@tonys78rpmrecords Keep them coming Tony! Love me some 78s :) I've got some to record soon too as I bought a big boxful myself from an antiques shop the other week
@@bigcheeses I subscribed to your channel i ment to look at your channel but have not till now it looks great. Looking forward to watching your videos. That's cool you found a nice box of old records!
Thanks for this nostalgic trip to yesteryear! Loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I dig the song title, cheers for sharing
Yes the Seventy mental reasons part is quite funny
How beautiful is that! I’m absolutely taken by everything about this. The music, the vocals, the composition, the sound, the near-flawless media. I could listen to 78s on this all day and all night. Just gorgeous.
Thank you for commenting. This 1919 record my friend gave me with a bunch of other records all pulled out of a trash bin. He keep finding them and i keep saving and recording them to this RUclips channel. I just started recording the other records from the 113 record find. Hope you subscribe and enjoy them all.
nice one! have you played this disc much on this gramophone?
No Just once for recording.
@@tonys78rpmrecordsthe acoustics definitely do a little damage, but it’s only noticeable on new discs. I’m not sure how those metrolite discs hold up to repeated steel needle treatment but I might have to sacrifice a disc in the name of science one time and record the results. The uk/european and Aussie discs were made of harder materials, and some of his earlier us pressings weren’t pressed on such malleable materials
@@bigcheeses its all good. Maybe when there are a shortage of these 78's maybe they will go up in value i get them for 5 dollars for 25 when i buy them. A friend just gave me 113 old records that he got from a flemarket trash bin. One guy committed how good the record sounds compared to digital. Thanks for commenting and for enjoying some of my old record music.
@@tonys78rpmrecordsthere’s definitely some rarer than others. That looks like a particularly shiny copy. I have 2 or 3 of each Hank single in 78 and 45! I’m a big fan though!
@@tonys78rpmrecordsit definitely sounds better to my ear than digital, the noise helps I think. I love the sound of my HMV 163 as well and hope to record some more Hank on there soon too. Thanks for sharing!
It’s advised not to play a record from the 40s/50s on a Victrola of the 10s
These are all picked out of the trash. I just play them once to record. I am aware of that.
Sounds more authentic on record than digital, it has a very unique sound to it.
It is quite Amazing the sound from these machines and how it transfers from the phone microphone that i use to record. Looking for ways to improve it but it works quite well. Thanks for commenting!
