Here I'm showing how I'm getting Cliff's bass tone by revealing the pedals I'm using, the settings, & the pickup settings on my bass. Hope this helps anyone who is also chasing Cliff Burton's bass tone.

This riff popped into my mind when I was out jamming in a parking lot at 2am & I recorded it when I came home. It's a bit sloppy, so I'll likely record a better, complete version of this riff later on. I did a bit of improv as well & took inspiration from some of Cliff's bass solos.

I recorded this seconds after the FWTBT video, so my tuning is still in A=444hz, so I apologize for that. I'm still learning how to play the 2nd half of Anesthesia, so I'm sure I'll post a full cover of it at some point in the future.

I tuned my bass to A=444hz, which is the tuning used for most of the songs on the album Ride the Lightning, & tried to recreate that iconic opening bass riff to For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Which pickups sound better to you? I'll let you decide. In order, I did the precision pickups first, then the jazz pickups, then both.

Earlier today, I bought a Boss CH-1 from a pawn shop for $20 & to my surprise, it sounded really good, so here's a little demo. I tried to make it sounds as close to Metallica's live tone as possible, but I'm sure it could use a bit of work. I've been working on improving my bass playing skills, so I decided to do a remake of the first bass video (which quite a few of y'all like, for some reason) but tuned the bass down to Eb. I hope y'all enjoy ^^
