Despite having lived overseas for decades, the Oils were my band growing up. Saw them numerous times at pubs around the place. Also remember seeing their bills up in certain locations in Sydney. This video was particularly poignant for me in that mention was made to the ANU bar down in Canberra, which back in the day was the city’s best live venue. Saw both the Oils there (forgotten with who), and also the Johnnys. Had a great atmosphere as we undergrads used to really blow off steam. Also remember me and my mates giving Peter Garrett some stick because he had attended a different residential college on campus. We even got a smile out of him.

Incredible song. Incredible performance. Relevant thirty years later.

Saw the Oils in the 90s and again a few years ago with my wife. Two and a half hours of non-stop high-octane greatness. We were staying on a property 25km away. The morning after, the owners told us they'd pulled up a seat on the back porch, grabbed a wine and enjoyed the show from there! Bloody awesome. My son played golf with one of the band members today and he is a genuinely lovely and down to earth bloke - salt of the earth guy who was fabulous with my 14yo lad. That speaks volumes to me! May they still be hammering out the good stuff for another 45 years!

As a rusted on Oils fanatic who has seem them live many, many times, which gives me a little credibility your cover is an absolute cracker, outstanding effort. Great vocals, great bass, and great drums pays true homage to the originals. 10/10 for me as most importantly you played with the necessary attitude, the Oils trademark. Keep rocking, I’m now listening 😊🙏

LOL, saw them on numerous occasions all up and down the eastern coast of Australia back in the say. At least initially, the audience was predominantly male, like one big mosh pit, and seriously lacking in deodorant. After about three songs, the heat became stifling you had to abandon your shirt. Such usually ended up lost or like rags on the floor. It is really difficult to describe the electricity that went through the room
