What a great talent.......I heard this song on a kids' folk music monthly album that my parents' subscribed to, but between 8 and 12 yrs old, of course I had no idea the backstory / inspiration to it. I only found out, a few minutes, ago, as the "listen of the day" on Kareem's weekly email commentaries. I saw Mr. Belafonte perform years ago at the L.A. Greek Theater along w/ Dianne Reeves (before she became a household name.) He joked w/ the crowd and said he maintained his looks by "bathing in Oil of Olay." Also, a few yrs. ago, I sang w/ the Occidental College Chorus, and when he died, we performed his "Turn the World Around" song as a tribute. Our director had to explain to the young kids who Harry was, and why he was influenctial. RiP to a great man who had so much courage most of us could only imagine // dream about.

The Beatles didn’t get higher positions, they were the same as fifty years ago and it was the new prodigal female Bowie, Taylor Swift, as her fans continued to buy and stream 1989 in its final 24 hours in the album chart.
