I like the sound of Orchard lake, the easiest of the two lol... Stuff to amuse my wife and children!, they got no chance of coming fishing with me hehehe Depending on how good the water is im heading off to, they maybe lucky to get a wave goodbye :o))

@mackie0706 The lake bottom I manly clay with not many features. Most successful bait last season: a good quality boily with Mainline Cell and Maple8 producing the best results. Hope this helps. Kind regards, DFH

There was a small tree stump just in front of the swim. I'd lost a couple of fish on it, but managed to get around the problem by using bottles on the main line to keep the line high in the water.

why was he fishing with a bottle attached to main line?

@freespiritfishing if these faccilites it would sound like a grate place for a trip i may have to have a closer look for further bookings. Joe

@JoeMul30 This is a new lake and will have temporary block with showers, toilets and fridge/freezer. By June there will be lodge with two showers, two toilets, a kitchen and seating area and even Digital TV for those who don't want to miss the world cup! There is a starter price on this venue to reflect the temporary facilities.

looks an ok lake but not many faccilites but sounds good for time taken and distance
