Falling number increase during storage
GRDC Grain Storage Extension Team lead Chris Warrick said trials by Agriculture Victoria’s research team at Horsham SmartFarm indicated wheat falling number could increase by up to 50 seconds and even exceed 300 seconds post storage.

Hi Chris! In which case the Fumigation Box would be exploseded? And what material should use to make the box safe? Thanks
If the recirculation fan is stopped while the phosphine is liberating in the box, concentration levels can reach spontaneous flammability (17,900ppm) and explode the box. Seek specific advice on what the explosion panel should be made of and how large it needs to be so that in this event, the box doesn’t get blown apart projecting fragments of steel around the complex.
