i think most little kids like niall because of the braces and his perceived innocence, harry coz of the hair and he looks like a girl and louis because of his "cute" voice. the people that prefer zayn and liam are more mature and like them based on talent

(I'm continuing my last comment) Basically, I take back that Zayn's underappreciated because "not enough fans scream for him at the concert", when the reality is, that's because Zayn fans are typically more mature and actually enjoy being able to HEAR Zayn's voice, while Niall fans just scream cuz they like the spotlight being on Niall. I love Niall, but to their fans, what does that show?

Haha, yeah, a lot of friends at school who don't like One Direction think Zayn is the hottest and the best singer. I realize that he's underappreciated within the fandom, but outside the fandom I know pretty much a lot of people who find the thought that one of the members besides Zayn or Liam (or sometimes harry) have the best voice of the group, insane. The fact is, this even showed in polls, that fans who like Zayn typically age from 13-18 and fans who like Niall typically age from 6-12.

No problem, It's a wide misconception. I'm just trying to give Zayn and the rest of the boys some credit.

Within the fandom ;) You'd be surprised at how many people find Zayns voice incredible. The thirst for Zayn is mighty high outside of the 1D fandom which comprises of prepubescent girls who like men in their 20's with no facial hair and braces.

I don't think it sucks that Niall doesn't have many solos. Look at BSB and N'Sync. There was an unequal distribution in solos for them too because when management gave parts out, they based it on the boys' ability to sing it in the album AND live. Life works like that and Niall fans should just accept it like Louis girls have. Niall is good when it comes to ballads, but unfortunately, the album is more upbeat pop/rock.

Because Zayn shines ALL THE TIME. He looks good ALL THE TIME (even in candids when his hair isn't stuffed to the brim with wax or bleached with peroxide) and he sings well ALL THE TIME. I honestly think that is the reason why he gets so much hate from fans of the other boys. They're jealous their fave isn't as perf as Zayn. They wish their fave got as many solos as Zayn. They wish their fave hit the highnotes like Zayn. Because their fave doesn't get the chance to, they slyly take digs at Zayn.

To continue my last comment, I do think the whole band is underappreciated and not many people realize how good of voices they actually do have, and they just judge them off of "What makes you beautiful" or something and that's pretty much it.

(No hate for any of this, it's just my opinion) Actually, don't believe everything you hear. Liam ANOUNCED at the live concert that a man named Steve wrote it, so I'm believing Liam. And at the concert he got the least amount of cheers, when he really does have an extroadinarry voice (and so do the rest of the boys in different ways though) and still SOME Niall fans are saying they are "disappointed" Zayn sings even though the chorus isn't even Niall's style, and I would be happy with both.

I think Niall wrote the majority of the song actually, at least that's what I heard, and I can kind of tell Niall in the lyrics but yeah, I know Zayn sings that part. And I don't think it's fair to say Zayn's under appreciated. He sings almost all of this song. And personally, I think they're all underestimated and under appreciated by the rest of the music community, we need to defend their talent against hipster garbage instead of against each other.

Get your head straight on. It's Zayn, I love Niall with all my heart, but unless you're an idiot 7 year old you should know by now it's Zayn.
