Miele Capricorn Randomly Shuts Off! Repair

The Miele Capricorn and other Miele canister vacuums use rotating electrical contacts built into the hose that connect to the controls in the handle. If it gets dirty or corroded the vacuum will randomly shut off during normal operation.
Supplies:
Torx screwdriver
Wire brush
Paper towels
Rubbing alcohol
Remove the 3 Torx screws.
Twist the bottom ring on the handle to open.
Remove the plastic cover on the circuit board.
Wipe with alcohol
Use wire brush to refresh copper contacts on circuit board

Don't just buy the keyboard even though it's cheaper. (~$20) Buy a new bottom assembly with the keyboard already installed. (~$50) You have to destroy the plastic rivets to remove the old keyboard.
