Inspect the heat exchanger when replacing only the coil and AC
indoor coil had a leak and due to the age it made sense to replace. Always a good idea to inspect the heat exchanger for cracks, when you have the coil removed

I always wonder what I'm going to find when I remove the panel to the outdoor unit. Lucky for the pest it didnt get roasted by the electrical. The nest was empty!
Gas Furnace not starting

Goodman Inducer motor not working, little bird was the culprit. You can hear crunching when the motor tried to run.

Found a leak on a mini split flare on the outdoor unit
Electric heat strip bad

When I tested the electric heat, I could hear a relay but the heater wasn't pulling any amps. So it was best for me to see in what the condition the heater was
Grounded compressor

Breaker would trip when reset automatically. Checked connections outside and found the compressor was grounded.
Lennox Heat Pump Fan Motor Replacement

Replaced and tested new outdoor fan motor on Lennox Heat Pump
what did you use to plug the hole high temp silicone?
I used a brass plug. Got it from Trutech tools I believe
My man didn’t even give her options for a contactor. Yeah I have it in the truck ima replace it and charge you 🤣
Well they send it up here from Mexico for about $4-500 for 22 lbs. A person can save by getting a crate (40) bottles.
Should I get the wireless monometer? Or the SDMN6?
@@Talentman18 I would get the wireless.
@@a.e.c.heatingcoolingllc6815 OK I will get that. I didn’t know if it would be a pain using your phone while trying to read your gas pressure.
Code says flood switch in secondary coil not the pan fix it right
Not sure when it was installed, so I'm not sure if it was required at back then. but you're right it does need one.
Wtf. 1/4 of info when I needed 4/4
Can you tell me what that new motor part number is? Cant find that replacement motor anywhere
I can not remember. Contact Lennox with the model or serial number and they should be able to assist you.
What is the putty on the connector going into the air handler?
WHy does it need replacing? your thoughts ?
Because R22 is being phased out and is outrageously expensive now. Like thousands of dollars to refill a system. The epa wants it gone. R22 systems are obsolete and are not being manufactured.
Good thing to do since it’s exposed. Good advice 👍
Customer knew about it and didn't want to pay the extra fee to get rid of it. Since it was outside the smell was not his main concern.
Well that's shitty to your customer. If you're hired for a repair you should do it right. Not just knock it down for the home owner to smell.
First cleaning I'm assuming 😅
Pulled wires off capacitor without shutting off power.
Ran into that same issue yesterday. Customer likes a cold house so it doesn’t run often
I run large gas boilers and confined space entry. We evacuate the area at 25ppm. You NEED to get fresh air in there now and shutdown the furnace until you check the combution zone and exhaust.
I did not stay long and notified the customer.
Close the window, car probably drove past 🤣 But in all seriousness, shut that heater off and cap the gas homie!
Also try a probably combustion analyser like the Testo range, waaaay more reliable than the fieldpiece personnel meters. Those fieldpiece sensors are shockingly unreliable, speaking from experience
Hello, thank you for the video, do you know how to change the cells of the Testo 310. Disassembly is probably done by removing the large rubber casing which surrounds the device. Do you have your own process?
I haven't tried to replace the sensor. I believe it will have to get calibrated to insure proper operation
Who is installing these with a flex line on the inside of a furnace. Too many clowns out there that cant use a tape measurer to see what size black pipe you need. With all the corrosion around the inducer points to no flue liner in chimney. Another slop job and people think they got a good deal.
I agree
I just purchased a used board on eBay for $40. And it works great
Ohh, you replace a new control board..where to buy a new board?
Could put covers back on furnace will help😂
Why would that help? It’s a sealed burner box
You never checked any of the safety’s it will do the exact same thing if that safety is tripped on the blower housing.
I never saw you verify the roll outs are good. If the limits are tripped tou wont get 24v to the gas valve, if one is bad, same thing.
Well done, a good informative video 👍
That furnace needs a good cleaning. I never neglect the cleaning step. Pride in workmanship
The red cap isn't a plug it will leak, it's just a thread protector.
Don't you just need to refill with refrigerant?
It did need a refill and to find the leak and repair. If I remember correctly, it was a rental property and im not sure what the owner ended up doing. I think he went back to the original installer.
Bruh, come on. At least show you fixing it
I agree with you! It's been so long ago but the problem was low on refrigerant.
@@a.e.c.heatingcoolingllc6815 can you give an estimate to refill the refrigerant?
Soooooooo basically you’re showing us your problem ? I can do tons of videos of me, my neighbours, friends and families Issues, but why would anyone want to see that ??
Go cry somewhere big baby .
Is there a website to order parts for this unit? Motor runs but not pulling a good vacuum.
May want to try calling there 1800 number or look up the part online with the model you have.
Love working on RTUs.
Filter is garbage..
HELP! I have a four year old yellow jacket M#93600 that stopped pulling a vacuum yesterday in the middle of a job. I looked at the oil through the sight glass and the oil was very cloudy. I changed the oil the day before. It has been acting strange for some time now. It humms but won't pull further into microns now. The only way I can get it to get down to -29.9 is by tilting it one way or another then it seems to "catch" and start pumping again. I had another cheaper pump do the same thing. I am wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and if it is a coupler that has broke, bad o-ring/seal or both.
I'm not sure. I had a pump that had a bad electrical connection. Could be the same issue Or maybe something is seized. If its used on a daily basis,it may be time to replace. If your working for a company I would have them get you a new one.
Where is the filter in this model?
Yikes
The button is it. Suppose to be on or on pilot?
Correct me if I'm wrong but those boards with the 9pin white rodgers intel-igni
Always give issues with the mo connector
@@elgum9868 use air to clean
I have but what I have also caught is that metal connectors are too lose with wear
Good video! There isn’t a dirt pocket on that water heater though. It’s code in Canada, must be elsewhere? I just subscribed btw. Thanks and keep up the vids. Cheers
Next time you diagnose a bad board during heating season take a closer look at the solder joints for the molex plugs. You'll usually find the 1s for either the 9 (or 12) pin molex plug or the plug for the inducer will have cracks on the solder joint causing the voltage to either fall down or it can intermittently work and send voltage then suddenly stop working. Also stop poking into the back of the plugs, that's also part of why they fail. They made so cheap now just poking into it can crack those weak joints
That's a good point . I'll be sure to look closer at the solder joints, and thanks for the heads up.
My board had 4 of the molex Solder joints cracked. Someone man handled it.
@dodgedak03 has nothing to do with man handling it. It's the fact that it's in the blower compartment where temperatures constantly go from cold to hot, cold to hot, cold to hot. Metal expands and contracts with temperatures so eventually it flexes and cracks
@@MiguelRdgz916 I see your point ,but mine isn't located in the blower compartment. I have a packaged unit in which all the electronics have its own compartment. Being 25 years old doesn't help.
Agree!
I know everyone says this, but I wish you were in the Chicago area. Can't find anyone dependable. Too much turnover. The techs never stay with one company for long.
Wow! My furnace doesn't even look that bad and I'm in a constant state of worry.
I've seen a lot worse
@@a.e.c.heatingcoolingllc6815 Good to hear! I can't believe the debris, dirt and cobwebs I see in some of these videos.
Nice Job!!! I have no doubt those folks were happy to have some heat!
Oh yes happy indeed!
What terminal does the door switch connect to on the circuit board ?? I've got a York Diamond 80 furnace.
Grrr…,cut off before the issue was resolved.
I want vacuum pump coupling set and oul
I want to have a Coupling Set for my Vacuum pump How to avail my Coupling Set with rubber for my 1/3 hp motor.. pks. help me how to get. thank you so much !!.
Where is the pilot light on a model like this?
That was a direct spark
@@a.e.c.heatingcoolingllc6815 I have a similar model and my pilot light is out, can't find where it is or how to restart
I recommend calling a licensed contractor in your area.
Thanks but I'm not trying. To spend $150 for 5 min of work
Not helpful
Dude u have to decommission that unit… its a fire hazard with that much rust and combustion nearby….
I have the same fielpiece.
