I have 3 024av saws that were my grandfathers and I am trying to revive them to run like this saw. I have no clue what I’m doing I’ve never tinkered with saws was it a lot of work and worth the time/$

If you use 1/2 the width it would probably clear it all.

A drop of oil on the shaft and a dab of grease on the gear set just as it says in the manual!

I am thinking of getting this myself as I lost a very expensive drift sock due to worn out rope attachment. Are you still using this and how is it holding up?

Dear Paul, congratulations on an excellent build and a beautiful boat. I've been thinking of building a Tolman Jumbo. I previously built a 16' Devlin Snowgoose. Could you please comment on how your boat feels in chop? I find myself in confused seas from time to time and experience constant winds that generate constant chop. I would like to be able to cruise at 20kts in these conditions and wonder if I'll feel 2" shorter at the end of the ride?! Any comments you may provide on comfort in less than ideal conditions would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you very much for your videos. Regards.

Hi Paul. Just bought a 724 with a seized Tecumseh. For a little more than the price of a used crank and rod, I now realize I can buy myself a brand new Predator 212 with cast iron liner and ball bearing mains and OHV, none of which the original Tecumseh H7 engine on this machine has. Perhaps your situation and thinking was similar. Looks like you've got more than enough power. Moving faster than the auger can even feed but yet the engine powers right through the load. I guess that's the point of your demo. In any event, very nice. That machine's a keeper.

Because I run one fuel for all my outdoor power equipment. I've never had an issue with running 50:1 2 stroke mix in my 4 stroke engines.

Why are you mixing in oil with the gas? Isn't this motor a 4 cycle?

The transom has been modified to a Euro style to enable a progressive entry into the boat from the stern. The cabin has also been pulled forward to enable access to the anchor from the hatch.
