Hi everyone, it's a long break since I last posted something here! Life got pretty packed for me, which I guess it is a good sign for me that I'm in a relatively good state in life for now and I'm grateful for that! 💕 Just wanted to record this whole process of interviewing for jobs, trying to navigate and find my own foot in the corporate world while managing a burnout, just to look back and see how much I have grown the past year!

Hey, I know this video is almost a year old, but I am currently studying radiography and I love it but I keep having thoughts of the possibility of OT for me. Do you know if I can get a masters degree in OT and start working as an OT with a bachelors of radiography/ medical radiation science?
Hi Emily, I'm not too sure which country you are based in, however in Australia, both a masters and degree in any allied health professional course essentially puts us at entry level :) Hope this helps to answer your question! You might need to check if it's the same system in your country!
I work in SLP field but interact with OT a lot too. Glad you're putting yourself first which will in turn move forward your career as well. Sending good manifestation vibes only!!

hi , iam planning to take my admission for BOT . can you please share your opinion . iam so confused that whether i should go for nursing or occupational therapy
Hi it depends on what you really value :) For me myself as a person I see the joy of helping people gain confidence be it something as simple as being able to put on a t-shirt, make a cup of coffee or even tie their shoelaces by themselves! That’s why I chose OT! If you like to take care of people and see them get better under your care, maybe nursing? Perhaps speak to a nurse first to see why they choose to become a nurse. Best of luck in whatever that you choose, I’m sure you will be an excellent health professional and whoever who is under your care will definitely be more independent or get better really soon!💕

@@aaishachowdhury8227 oh! not necessarily a change but I noticed that there’s few OT’s here (Puerto Rico) due to the fact that only one university offers the degree. There’s also a big need and long waitlists so, because I got interested in OT during my speech clinical practice, I thought I would give it a go! I also think it’s a big plus to have knowledge in both areas.

What is placement?
It's pretty much an internship that all healthcare students have to undertake. We usually get our own caseloads of clients, just like a therapist:) The reason why it's called placement and not internship because we don't get paid :") (at least for my uni!)
