Rogue-Like from what I can see. The terrain blocking and artifact usage makes me wonder how they will use this in multiplayer excited to see the new mp meta should be really interesting. It was. Adagio for Strings was used in an incredibly epic way when revealing the horrific backstory of your people (spoilers ahead). You see your people forced to flee their homeworld in hastily-built and overcrowded arks, and given that they were losing a war in which they were being exterminated, you get a sense of just how crude and fragile those arks were. You watch as the number of arks slowly dwindle, with every engine failure representing untold thousands doomed to perish from suffocation or hypothermia, while the other ships had to move on knowing there was literally nothing they could do for their cousins but mourn. By the time you reach Kharak, only 4 of the arks remain in your fleet, just a few tens of thousands of people that were all that remained of an empire that used to number in the tens of billions, now destined to live on a planet that had little in the way of a biosphere or resources, and without adequate supplies it's implied that in the early days even the overwhelming majority of your people perished before adequate housing, food or even air supplies could be created.
