Gotta love it.
Have to have chuckles to the one that was of more recent services since she be out of services for some 40 years.
Cute, but the guns move too fast to be realistic.
You do realise it's only a model, right........
From Massachusetts?
Sydney, Australia
Used to play the "Battle of the "Denmark Straight" in my bathtub
Nice to see models built to my favourite scale.
very nice. Re you a member of task force 72?
Yes I am.
Good stuff, thanks Dave.
The ice on that flower, amazing
Very nice models, love the work in making the clip to.
Dave, who makes your smokers? The amount of output is really the icing on the cake. Great looking boat!
His email is at the end of the video. "kevin@rcsmokers.com" in Western Australia
Hey Dave , are APS models still in business? The boat is coming along nicely.
Yep. apsmodels@optusnet.com.au
Thanks mate!
Fantasitc build, Dave!
Its too fast ,
You know it's a model, right?
@@davemanning4443 A scale model that strives at realism, even has a smoke unit. Guess you should paint it yellow and add a Chiquita sticker to it? 🍌
1:200?
Yep
awesome
I am glad you didn't put the Swastika's on. Not that it offends me but in the life of Bismarck she only had those Swastika's painted on for about three days in order to prevent friendly fire as she was headed out to sea. They were painted over like you show the moment she got out to see.
Your build of the Bismark has brought back a lot of memories. I was a teenager when I built it and my friend Bill built the Hood, We sailed them in the creek out back of my house. Years later I built the Bismark for my 5 year old son. It was motored, but not RC.He enjoyed watching me build it and when it was done, painted and dry I did a dry run to make sure it worked. We went to a small pond located in a cemetery. (With what happened only fitting) The ship set sail and for some reason it reached the middle something went wrong. It wasn't going the way it should. In addition it was getting lower in the water. THen just like a real ship it turned bow down and sank. My son loved it and cheered and clapped as it went down.. I did recover it. Bill and I built a number of models before he got "To old" to play with toy. But we had good times. Now I have a new Bismarck to build and in honor of BillI who passed a number of years ago I have the Hood. So when I post it please recall this. THanks.
The speed for this scale looks far too high to my uneducated eye. 34mph/200 = 0.17mph. The models look like they are traveling at human walking pace. Say 2-3mph? More dramatic perhaps?
Wonderful models, the wake is interesting, triple screw vs quad screws cause very different washes?
I have all 4 screws working on HMS Hood however, with Bismarck I only have the outer screws counter rotating with the middle one free turning.
@@davemanning4443 thanks! Looks fantastic
Nice build. Really. Impressive. Only remark is that she was never referred to with the prefix of KMS. DMS was rarely used. The "KMS" prefix is a recent 'creation'. Only seeking to be as accurate as your impressive model is. :)
Nice to see. May late father served aboard her in 1943.
Oh that is so special. You must be extremely PROUD.
Love how You've done the Anti Foul paint in the correct Dark Grey too...
Excellent......well done👏
Very cool.
Looks awesome.
Great video Dave. Looks awesome. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed.
Great work!

Hi. Do you think you can advise me on my build? I have a 6ft hood
I suppose I could, but I'm just trying out ideas that I get as I'm plodding along.
Great little vid Thanks Dave
An excellent flotilla, very cool!
