@ They had some insane matches on clay. The Madrid Open 2009 Final is one of these that definitely stand out.
For me, the best clay tennis was the 2013 RG SF match between Rafa and Nole
This and federer nole 2011 , nole stan 2015 and nole rafa 2021 fedal 2006 rome final are my favorite matches on clay
That’s a very good point. Wawrinka Nole 2015 is an underrated match, Stan pulled off one of the best attacking performances on clay it was outrageous

Thank YOU, actually! I remember how nervous I was when he played the AO2017 Final vs Rafa. I deeply wanted him to win but as he just came back from a long injury break, I honestly didn’t believe he would have made it even to the QF.
I feel you, it’s crazy isn’t it even to this day the vivid memory of Federer beating his arch rival Nadal, using his backhand as a weapon most impressive of all, let alone the 6 month injury break. My favourite tennis memory!
