I had to start using my 2014 Shinn Monk Forever after losing my Emperator at sea (it turned up 8 weeks later on a beach up river) The old Monk was still a Superb Board...I was so impressed I bought the Monk Glitch as a replacement days before the Emperator turned up ;0)

When do you launch the 2024 Boards?

Really not much info about this one on youtube. Official site also does not state the weight, just would be interesting vs typical freestyle surf board.

Hello, I would like an information regarding a board advice for my next purchase. It’s gonna be my second shinn :-) I’m a guy with 85Kg - 90Kg (whitout equipement) and I kite mainly in winds of 15-30 knots. I do mainly freeride with a few jumps but really, really not crazy things. Upwind easily is important to me. I’m thinking about the Monk X Prismatic … do you think that is a good choice ? If yes, which size : 140 x 44 ? Thank you for your answer. Kind regards

Hi, I picked up one of these on eBay (the same model - 2015 I think). Is it possible to attach a foil mast to this board? I think I have seen this on some newer models

Very happy with this board! It’s really plush in the chop and it feels very light weight. Definitely worth putting my ego aside when they say it is a “beginner board!” It is a fantastic board😀

I do have the Shinn carbon mast ! But now I've a Starboard Foil X Wing board (2021 model). AND I would like to use my foil setup, Shinn carbon mast with Shinn carbon foil wing, on this board. Not only for Wingfoil but also for Wind-foil. And there I've a problem as the board has us box 4 bolt plate attachment for WI ging BUT uses, or needs, demands, a Tuttlebox attachment for Wind-foiling. Can I, and if so how, use my mast for both ?

I bought an original Jackson to learn on with a p foil. Now 5 of the kiters on my beach have learned on it and there are 6 Jackson's in our Portland, OR crew's collective quiver. My wife and I both ride 112 Prismatics now with SS 657 Phantasms. We both love our Bronq twin tips too and after loaning them out there are 7 Shinn twin tips in the crew now too. You can't beat Shinn boards. I just wish we had a Northwest US source instead of ordering from Canada or Europe. :) we'd love to try the wing kits. Keep it up Mark. You guys rock.

Thank You Mark! and what about for very beginners that are still struggling to water start? many say that with a shorter mast is far easier, is that true? or doesn't matter so much in water start?

How do you adjust this for a male feet with wet shoes? My bindings are too narrow and a pain in the ass to get on in the water.

My old yellow shinn monk had the bottom plastic layer come off. It wasn't bonded correctly with the board?! Board still rides ok, just looks pretty crap.

I am very proud to have one - I am very happy with it and can say - very cool to ride for me. Thank you Shinn !!!
