Great to see real, live performances and not a bunch of lip syncing. And yow, look at the babes in bikinis shaking their... stuff around!
"Film processing by TechniColor." Black and white??
It's hard to believe Keith Richards was ever so young.
I seen James Brown and the Flames when I was 15yr. His shows were like a religious experience, there wasn't anyone better. Showman of showmen. The Godfather of Soul.
It's a shame Little Richard isn't head lining this lineup. Little Jimmy Brown was a featured performer in the Little Richard Band along with Jimmy Hendricks on guitar.
The Beach Boys; Surfer girl, and my favorite, In My Room. Out standing ballads.
Great singing talent and one hell of a band.

The Stones, Marvin Gaye, Leslie Gore, James Brown, The Supremes ... absolutely astounding
Every teenage girl should listen to Lesley Gore singing You Don’t Own Me.
Mick Jagger insisted The Rowling Stones were the obvious star of the show and insisted they close out the show. After watching James Brown pull out all the stops, Mick realised, oh boy, that was a mistake. Now he had to show had as many moves as James Brown had. No matter how much he jumped around the stage, he could never compete James Brown and the Famous Flames. I read somewhere that he always regretted his dick move. James stole the show out from under The Stones’ feet. He mopped the floor with them. He even did three encores! Besides WT actual F, Jagger didn’t even have any capes!! Everyone knows that no one can ever win against a man with THREE capes!!!
One of the best concerts ever! Such a great gathering of great 60's groups and individuals! James Brown stole the show!
Where was Bill Wyman?
Can u notice the perfomers white n black didnt matter the music what mattered and everyone had a GOOD TIME and got along just look at the people 😊
Wow, what a great show! I like the transition from Chuck Berry to Garry and the Pacemakers with Berry handing off his song "Maybelline" like a baton to Garry and the Pacemakers. Really well done.
The choice of songs is a poor reflection of their catalogue. I was expecting better.
Leslie Gore @ 38:18 - anthem for every generation. ‘ You don’t own me’. Got it ??!!!!
Loved Jan & Dean. So talented and so cute!! Surfer guys. So sad what happened to Jan Berry in that terrible car accident in 1966 I think.
Leslie Gore was about 18 here and she looks like a 35-year-old housewife!
1:17:36 king of soul James Brown

Favorite part is forever loveee 1:23:01
Wow… what a line of performers
I saw A black person in the audience.
I didn't think Bill Wyman was there. They didn't show him until the 2nd song.
Absolutely love this entire show. My personal favorite performance of The Miracles. Their moves were amazing! Not to mention a truly awesome view of America's sweetheart, Teri Garr, during Mickey's monkey. It seems like the makers of this appear to have known it was a truly magical time in popular music and did their best to capture the moment.
THIS IS HOW TO SHOOT A CONCERT. Not like the modern 'artsy' camera work, with tons of cameras, and a scene change every 3-5 seconds... sucks. I much prefer the STATIC, stationary cameras in a few key spots, and one roving camera. That's frikin plenty. Music vids, etc. for the last 30 years+ mostly suck, as 'scenery' outranks the music, and its creators. Man, this was so enjoyable, on so many levels. MANY THANKS.
SO GREAT ... felt like crying ... so damn good! THE LAST DAYS of music PURITY... Where it was STILL mostly about the MUSIC not the money... NOTE: Were The Supremes singing for money? Look at their faces. Were the Beach Boys? Was James Brown just there to make some cash ? Did he put in a half-hearted display? No frikin way... They all looked happy as heck, like really and truly... WERE THESE CONCERT SEATS EXPENSIVE ???? Look at the audience. It's teens and kids, some adults, all BLUE COLLAR.... In fact -- tickets were FREE ! ... Despite a parade of STARS so incredible, likely never seen again together. Mind-boggling... And check out that wild, crazy JOY in the crowd -- before the days of universal beer, liquor, pot and coke. WOW. You'll never see that again -- a whole lot of straight folks genuinely overjoyed. ..... ALL BEFORE the big SELL out, by the music industry first, then the artists. Just like the 'hippies' sold their soul... It was a TIME when, for a brief moment, nothing seemed impossible, like Venus aligned with Mars. And then it all fell down. To shit. To now: 2025. wtf
Dean Ormsby Torrence still alive!!! 84 years young!
Wow, just found this. Cheered me up no end seeing so many of my old favourites. Saw most of them live in the 60s. I'll be watching it again...and again...
"Turn on my VCR Same one I've had for years James Brown on the T.A.M.I. show Same tape I've had for years" - Sting
James Brown was so........musical, compared to garbage rap of today. Talent was the difference. And performance. How could anybody go back to rap after watching James??
Now that I think about it I wish I was born in 1940s so I can experience james brown the supreme s and lesiy gore
Mick Jagger was not pleased to have to follow James Brown.
Well, there must be at least 50 people in the chat who persist this to the point of boredom! The problem is there are also those who say James Brown performed the day before the Stones finished the whole show.
Jan & Dean The Kings Of Surf City USA-----Huntington Beach, Cali
Diana Ross' wig hat is immense!
What did they mean by "T.A.M.I." I thought they might have said so in the description
