Diana Ross' wig hat is immense!
What did they mean by "T.A.M.I." I thought they might have said so in the description
Imagine Elvis following the James Brown performance. 🤔🤨
I used to play "How Do You Do It?" by Jerry and the Pacemakers on my neighbor's little portable record player, among lots of other 45's when I was a child. My siblings and some of my neighbors would all gather together just to enjoy the beautiful, fun music. We were all just little kids way back then. Time surely flies, and all that's left is memories!!! 🎶♥️🎶
Bands cant do it live on TV anymore
Wow never seen Billy J Kramer live before!
gerry is way underated guitar player..........
Love this stuff. Thank-you for putting this up!
Any one who says Brian Wilson wasn't a musical genius just watch their set!!! These guys were just kids and the songs and arrangements are incredible!!!
Cool! That’s Darlene Love and The Blossoms backing up Marvin Gaye!
Leon Russel 12:20
I see Leon!!12'20
kinda sad, actually...that southern cal doesn't exist anymore, times seemed a lot better then...
I didnt know the Beach Boys played a Rickenbacker 12-string...
Lesley Gore singing about guys.
Who was that woman at 2:34?
Unbelievable nostalgic gem!!!! Thanks RUclips for putting this on my sign in page today. I never knew this series existed even though I was 13 years old at the time. All the groups were young, fresh, and energetic. Check Berry was already a legend. And the Stones were total energetic rock and roll. James Brown was crazy
I was concieved a month before this. Almost makes me puke.
I had married roommates. We all hated it by the end.
Gigantisch.
Why isn't the drummer drumming on I like it by Gerry and the Pacemakers? Lesley Gore was lucky if she was 5 ft tall. Terry Gar is one of the dancers.
leon russell behind jerry on maybelline
Check out Teri Garrs great legs! The "chicken dance" became popular when Ann Margret did the chicken dance in the musical Bye Bye Birdie in 1963.
Nice time capsule!
This is amazing if only for the inclusion of a preternaturally adorable 19-year-old Teri Garr doing the Monkey like no one’s watching.❤
35:53 - She bought her shirt at Target!🎯
27:02 - The Miracles did a great job impersonating monkeys.🐒 🙈 🐒
Dancing is so weird. I mean that in a weird appreciative way.
I remember seeing this movie in the Sixties. Watching James Brown was like a religious experience. I used some of his ideas for my Rock group The Vagrants. Great movie!! Evangelist Roger Mansour
So groovy. The coolest music in the world.
Funny thing is that I saw a you tube video last night on Teri Garr’s life. One scene was of her dancing past the Supremes. I noticed how hard she was trying; putting everything into her performance. I didn’t realize this was the show she was in. However, it was her totally committed performance that made me immediately pick her out in this video. A truly dedicated artist. R.I.P. Teri.
01:07:17 Is that Phil Spector directing?
I can't take my eyes off Teri Garr. Rest easy, Luv.
6:46
"Full HD?" The video tops at 480p!
At the beginning, Jan kept turning into Ryan Reynolds or George Michael... couldn't get that out of my head from that point on. ;P What a show! You could almost call this the high point of the innocent "pop/rock/fashion slow-build" before it all exploded with the shagginess of psychedelia, drugs, hard rock, then later disco before sort of circling back to a similar energy and style in the 80s. Wow, what a roller coaster ride for music fans!
3:06 OK, I knew about some of the surprise names here, like Teri Garr and Toni Basil, but I admit I wasn’t prepared to see the name of the guy who wrote _Move Closer to Your World_ as the “Associate Producer.”
If this was one show, pretty impressive lineup !
Outstanding.
The old ones had the best thats on offer and they made the most if it great bands nice country good food if you could afford it but is was good today life is a gamble put a roast in the oven in the morning and pray that you will be there to eat later that day so sad 😂
Love the Flames!
Man they sure dance funny in the 60s look like they had ants in there pants fuel by L.S.D.
1:35:26. "Here they are, those five fellows from England...The Rolling Stones. Only four Stones seem to take the stage at first. The fifth is out of frame.
Sadly ... the generation that was of this age as a teen or young adult have now past, lots of tunes I grew up with the footage will never be released in my lifetime, property rights will drag on for everyone wants to get their money.
The performers were all part of the soundtrack of the 1960s ❤😊😊❤
MIKE LOVE OF THE BEACH BOYS ALWAYS LOOKED OLD. HERE HE LOOKS LIKE 40.
THERE WAS A COLOR VERSION OF THIS SOMEWHERE.
THE ONLY REAL SURFER BOY WAS DENNIS WILSON WHO SADELY DROWNED FROM DRUGS.
ABOUT POINT 46.00 ON TAPE LOOK AT THE FACE OF THE ACTS AS THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON..
THE BACK CURTIN MADE OF PLATES .
