Indicator stalk repair/replacement, Citroen xsara Picasso (pre 2003 models)
How to expose and replace an indicator stalk on a Citroen Picasso made prior to 2003. It's a fairly common fault and luckily this age of car doesn't have the all in one 'coms 2000' unit. This works for both the indicator and wiper stalks...thanks for watching!!!

Thanks just did this and it worked
Cheers m8. I needed a video for the later model and you said what to search for straight away rather than letting us watch the whole video, which I did anyway. :)
Thank you !!
thanks for the video mate.
brilliant thank you that saved me a trip to the garage
Thank you! It helps a lot!
Do I need to disconnect the batterie and air bag ?
Not for this model, no. The later models with all in one 'coms 2000' unit involved removing the steering wheel, so disconnection was necessary for them. This model is fairly simple
great thanks for the reply John
Really helpful video thank you, replacing my window wiper stalk on my 2002, lots of great info on this video, cheers!
Came again for another picasso needing fixing, came to this video again, thanks so much again!
thanks
The video helped a lot, thank you very much
My pleasure mate
Hi great video. Just a quick question. My horn works but is intermittent. When I press the horn button on the stalk it doesn't always sound the horn. Could a new part sort the issue out?
Damo Sicilian Hi, very possibly. With it being intermittent it does suggest a contact issue and a new part would cure that. The best thing about this car is that you can just 'loose fit' a new part for testing in about 10 seconds by just plugging it in. Any understanding breakers yard would let you try that first. Alternatively have a look at this video ruclips.net/video/b0QIsdSvOQA/видео.html This guy did a brilliant video with a complete strip down. A contact issue could also just be accumulated gunk in the way of the terminals and a clean may really help (as it did mine) Best of luck John
