Should it spin so easily and freely? Should it be tightened? After replacing mine it spins very loosely and even doesn’t stay in place when positioned at certain angles.

Thanks!! Luckily mine only had two wires cut. Ended up cutting off all of that plastic conduit and using electrical tape. It looks to me as if that conduit could be cutting the wire.

Every single one of the wires were sliced clean when I checked and the protector had maybe a half of an inch left before the whole thing was detached. Insane. I hate this fridge so much. Fridge portion has never worked right, always freezing stuff from day one. No room in freezer for anything really. Can't even fit a pizza without turning it sideways. This video helped me so much. I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out why the ice would not work. Will have to learn how to fix wires though lol XD

So happy I found your video. My mom's ice maker stopped working and had 2 technicians out and neither one knew this issue. One said the freon was leaking, 2nd guy said the freezer wasn't cold enough. Weird for a certified technician to not be aware of this issue. Thank you so much !! There was 4 broken wires, once repaired it started making ice. Fabulous tip.....Thanks again !!! You made my 86 year old mother very happy

Ours stopped working after a couple months, that was 9 years ago. Checked yesterday and I had 7 out of 9 wires broken! Amazingly, all the functions in the door worked except ice. Soldered the 7 wires and it made ice after a few hours!

Thank you @motofun for this great video. I had 4 broken wires. I repaired them by adding a little extra 18 gauge twist wire in between the break and now have ice again. Note that 3 wires carry no voltage but still works. (green, blue and gray/orange).

Can you do an air filter replacement?

how do you get the handle adapter off. Mine seems stuck and I don't want to use brute force to risk breaking anything. Also is the white limiter behind it important? I don't see one behind mine.

Thank you!!! I spent forever completing this job. My old cartridge was stuck due to the rubber on the sides. After I finally got it removed (i had to go buy the moen cartridge removal tool) I couldn’t slide the new one all the way in! The oil they give you inside the packaging is useless and wound up not being sufficient to slide mine in without ripping the rubber again. Swapped the broken one out and bought some faucet grease. Used the removal tool to insert and voila!! For whatever reason my clip wouldn’t fit but during one of my many trips to Home Depot I had bought a three clip replacement pack and one of those fit perfectly. 🎉 If you cant slide your cartridge straight in try changing your angle. I was working from sitting on the side of the tub but when I switched to working directly in front of the faucet that angle was what I needed to make things slide in place.

Wow, I see how old this video is but the knowledge is still valuable. Just unclogged my sink that’s been like that for (I don’t even wanna say how long) I don’t have to wait on maintenance. This is great!! Thanks man.

My refrigerator is a little over 3 years old. Icemaker not working. I checked the wiring and there are two broken wires.Thankfully I purchased the 5 year extended warranty. Thanks for your video. I would have never thought to look at the wiring.

I went to homedepot Canada and they just gave me the part. Under warranty they said! I love Moen what a great company that stand by their stuff.. I will never buy anything else.

I've been trying to figure this out online and came across your video. Checked mine and sure enough have 1 wire cut.hoping it's the one controlling the release arm. Fingers crossed.
