Small Shelf layout
I started the trip trying to model Argentinean railways, but it got quite expensive, so I switched to the two themes I enjoy the most: North American railroads without a set date and British Railways during the BR blue era.
I moved (slowly but steadily) to "small shelf layout" types because of the tight spaces, and that's where I am now.
Additionally, rolling stock and a few of my friends' projects will be shown.

Nice video. Cheers.
Thanks! 🙂
Danke 👍
I like how you put some grass in places between the rails. Well done. Nice video & subscribed.
Thanks for the kind input 🙂
where to buy the gradual pier ramps? or you made it yourself?
Hello. The "layout" owner built them (1x3 in. each with 1 cm increments).
Wow, it’s amazing what can be done with M-track 😮. Really nice layout, fantastic detailing and execution!!!
Oh, I see. 🙂 Thank you. This layout was sold. It was a fellow modeler's creation. In order to have a very tiny footprint, he decided to use the M track with a "industrial" radius.
@@smallshelflayout Here is my current M-track test layout to run analog locomotives (I used the "industrial" curves as well) : ruclips.net/video/-aGv3RnKmQs/видео.htmlsi=KwObXpAVAZRU1ep9
Great layout & rolling stock !!! I’m planning on using a combination of M- and C-tracks on my future layout as well.
Hello 😀 That's good to hear. It is a workable substitute to cut costs.
Hola.
They are cracking models. Have two myself.
I was gladly surprised when it arrived. I'll try to get a few more.
@smallshelflayout They are hard to come by. I was lucky with mine got them from Ellis Clark at Warley a few years ago.
I think there's a pretty fair amount of detail on this brand and the Master series.
Indeed, you are right. The cost-benefit ratio seems reasonable to me.
Muchas gracias! El sentimiento es mutuo, un abrazo! 🙂
Thank you. Very intresting. Joe 😊
Thanks to you too 💪
Fantastic ground work on the scene and super ballast. What did you use for each?
Hi. Thanks. 🙂 The ground cover is filtered and baked dirt from my garden. The ballast was friend-made. I maded the turf with Woodland's grass.
Merci beaucoup mon ami. J'ai beaucoup aimé votre vidéo de Roco BB 9281. Félicitations.
Muy bueno 👌 👍
Gracias! 😊
Cool video!
Thanks Sr. Happy new year!
Great.
Even with my headphones this sounds amazing. Can you tell me how this was done? I’m assuming same address but would love to understand the overall set up.
Thank you very much! This concept came to me from one of Lance's blogs. Absolutely, you have to use the identical file and address from the spare decoder under the layout. In that case, you need to connect the speaker output of the spare decoder to the "sound in" input on your favorite audio system. The layout main bus provides the decoder's power supply. When not in use, it can be turned off by adding a simple switch. A crucial piece of advice: the decoder's output is mono. It is important to carefully wire the decoder to a male 3.5 jack in order to prevent damage. Ask me how I discovered it 😅
That was fun! Great music and tour.
Warm regards. This was the layout of one of the small local groups to which I belonged. With a very limited budget, they made an effort to do the best they could.
Interesting setup!
Before purchasing the little, compact layout you saw in the other video, my friend tried a lot of different planning techniques. This was one of them.
Absolutely stunning layout! Would love to see it all!
It was an extremely good example of a dependable, straightforward design, but it is no longer available. It was sold.
Some absolute classics running here. And impressed to see legacy switches.
At this time in his hobby, inflation kicked in, and my friend tried to cut some costs.
The best way to enjoy trains. Would be neat to see the entire layout.
When I return, I'll try to get a wide shot.
That livery is great. Proto2000 (and 1000) have great running characteristics for the four axle models. I can’t speak for all six axles just yet.
You're right. Six axle models I have had have also worked well. I never had problems with any proto. The livery is an adaptation from the one in the Brazilian company "ALL,” which was the subsidiary that used part of our aging railway network from the late 1990s to the late 2000s

Sir, i want this lovely loco, where i get these 😮❤
Hi. Years ago, I purchased this locomotive used from another modeler. Although I'm not sure if Bowser has produced more of this model, you might be able to find some on eBay or at bowser-trains.com.
great sound on the loco and very nice modeling!
Thanks Sr. 🙂
Great German layout, 👍😃
Thank you sir. I'm glad you like it.
Like those Alcos.
Me too. A friend has them.

Yes. She was a really lovely model, which I sold to a pal.
