The Bible is inspired by God. 66 books that agree with each other. That doesn’t happen in real life. Those tiny little rules are the 10 commandments. The Old Testament Leviticus was given to show us none of us can keep Gods rules. Only Jesus could. So we all fall short of the glory of God. It reinforces none of us are “good”

The Jews are not the keepers of the cannon, that is incorrect. The Septuagint was a direct translation from the living word and was preserved by the Christians. The Masoretic text came way later which they added vowels, placed structural breaks and cantillation markings. In addition they made changes to the Old Testament anywhere that referenced "Son's of God" to "Son's of Israel" and condemned any Jews away from Enoch or Jesus being the Messiah. Enoch prophesied the coming of the Son of Man, which is a term that Jesus uses to affirm the prophecy. In addition, all the authors of the Old Testament preached and quoted the Septuagint, not Masoretic text, this is a known fact. So when the oldest copy of the Septuagint was found with the Dead Sea Scrolls that included Enoch, it proved that the Hebrew scholars were hiding Enoch and Jesus from the OT to blind the Jews from Jesus being the Messiah.

There is a term among us Catholics called "Cafeteria Catholicism" and sometimes more broadly as "Cafeteria Christianity" -- the approach of embracing the parts of Scripture and Sacred Tradition that we agree with (or don't feel threatened by), and ignoring the rest as "not aligned/doesn't apply to me" (cafeteria-style: take the mac'n'cheese, skip the Brussels sprouts).

That young lady was trying to get Charlie like the world is. Trying to get God to accept my sin. Pray for this girls soul. I feel very sad for her. She was poorly catechized. Pray for her to dig into the catechism of the Catholic Church. Pray for her to look into the early church fathers. Pray for her to find a church near her and get involved in an RCIA/OCIA class that anybody can take for free. Anybody can find a Catholic Church and take one of these free classes. They will learn about the catechism. They will learn about the Bible. They will learn about the magisterium. They will study the catechism with the Catholic Church that helps people understand what Catholics believe in. The Catholic Church is the fullness of everything that Jesus gave to the church. Catholics are not Christians. They pray to God, Jesus, Mary, Saints, & Angels. Matt.6:9 Jesus told the disciples to pray only to God. Only God with Jesus as our mediator can forgive sins. Priest in the Catholic Church cannot forgive people’s sin. He is a mere human and a sinner himself. Mary too was human and also a sinner as well as the saints. And angels are God’s messengers, and are creations that serve only God. So the catholic religion defiles the WORD of The Lord Jesus by praying to other humans. Only God can forgive. And HE did when He shed His blood 🩸 on the cross. It’s a gift that each person must except to be forgiven. Plus nothing. Jesus yelled it is finished when He gave up His life. No one can add or take away from The Gospel. I Cor. 15:1-4 the gospel by which you are saved.

Main thing Charlie gets wrong is about the canon of scripture. The canon was not determined by the Jews; the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes all used different canons. The Pharisees changed their canon after the Romans destroyed the 2nd temple in 70 AD. The canon of scripture was determined by the Roman Catholic Church at the council of Rome in 382. In 393 & 397, Hippo and Carthage reaffirmed that canon. The canon was again reaffirmed by the Council of Florence in 1442. Thus, the canon is 73 books rather than 66.
