She is doing just fine she is eating very well it’s ok if she is messy because we have this wonderful thing call soap n water it works miracles dad is doing great letting baby learn to feed herself

Heather's Habby's babies can’t eat what’s in their fist so you want the pieces cut big enough so that some of it sticks out of the babies fist. She had water. It’s called baby led weaning. Have a great day!

Small pieces are dangerous

This has nothing to do with laziness. Educate yourself!!! It's to do with sensory awareness, and it's a perfectly acceptable way for babies to experience foods. They rarely eat this way all the time, but it's fine to try it sometimes. It's actually MORE work for the mom with the prep and clean up. You need to get more knowledgeable before you comment about parents.

Liza Mendez........... or you could stop sticking your nose in. This is the way THEY are teaching her food textures and tastes. It's a valid approach in child development. It doesn't make them lazy, but your "opinion" makes you a busybody.

Liza Mendez preparing food that’s healthy is a lot more work than spooning preservative filled baby food out of a jar and putting it in your babies mouth. It’s called baby led weaning. It’s been proven that babies are smarter, More advanced, have far less weight gain concerns and are more content when fed this way. Have a great day!

@@happyhoney3433 Well if you count cancer as a serious issue, then yes i do have a serious issue. However, I managed to live thru the 5 year survival rate, and so far the cancer hasn't raised it's ugly head again. I do know that all breast cancer comes back, in the brain, or lungs and will take me out one day, but until then I'm going to live and make memories that will warm my children's hearts throughout their lives. I keep busy with my precious kids, Grandkids, and God Bless💕 my little 3yr old Great Grandson. Life is good, not always easy, or fair but it's the only one we get. We have however, a choice on how we deal with it. Happy Honey, I truthfully hope the best for you and yours. But that guy still sounds creepy to me, like in a scary movie. Which by the way, I don't watch.;)

Feeling babies with spoons has always felt a little impersonal to me.

A lot of babies and very small children learn a lot from the texture of the food with their hands. There's nothing wrong with a baby exploring foods this way.

All of my children were feeding themselves by the time they were a year old. What's wrong with that?

Liza Mendez his is actually a healthier way to feed your baby. Oh don’t have to just throw in on the tray but this little girl is eating a very healthy diet of fruit, veggies and meat. At this age they are not using utensils but are able self feed and to start using a spoon or fork when needed. My granddaughter is being fed this way although on a plate she eats a good sized meal where if her mom is feeding her something with a spoon she gets fussy she wants to eat herself and to choose what goes in her mouth just like she is.
