This always throws me when I watch it. I bought the script collection "Up to you, Porky" vack in the 80s and read it many, many times. When someone finally bothered to invent DVDs, I got to see this again and there's a bit in the script that wasn't filmed. "Hen droppings aren't black. Sheep droppings are black." "Are they? I don't think we've got sheep in the skirting boards. Not unless they're breeding them very small now. Which they might be, with Lady Helen Windsor setting a trend for fingerless gloves."

Patricia Rutledge is an amazing actress, doing a fabulous job with Victoria Wood's writing. Love them both!

The "Kitty" monologues were always my favourite part of "Victoria Wood as seen on TV". A combination of Victoria Wood's writing and Patricia Routledge's comic timing make me laugh as much now as they did when I first saw them. "Kitty" is great for getting rid of unwanted callers "I cant stop my flat backs onto a cake factory so I'm busy dusting my knick knacks all day long" usually does the trick.

God i love this im still waiting for the repeat on sky gold channel so i can keep it i watched the proper movie many times although it was made before i was born i think of it was dawn and jennifer love 2.50 dinner plate and laughter dubbed on afterwards HA HA HA timeless.

This was a send-up of a programme called 'Pennywise' which I remember seeing on ITV in the 80s. I think it was made by Grampian Television and wasn't much different to this.....

One of those sketches Victoria wood did which had a very dark undertone, hinting at a lot of the personal insecurities and unhappiness she had.

So…is this property of the BBC? I wish there was some way to know.
